The ones that hurt the most are Eternal Sonata, Alpha Protocol, LOTR: The Third Age, Ninja Blade, Chronicles of Riddick and The Saboteur. Other's I'd love to see are Singularity, Condemned 1 & 2, Arx Fatalis, Two Worlds II and Dead Rising. There's a bunch of licensed games I knew we weren't gonna get though, like Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Transformers: War for Cybertron, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Spider-Man: Edge of Time and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Still, they've done an amazing job.

One of the biggest snubs for me was Arx Fatalis, it's so weird. It's an OG Xbox immersive-sim RPG developed by Arkane, I really thought that they could've brought it back to Xbox... hell, the PC version of Arx Fatalis is literally on Game Pass PC right now.

I'll never get rid of my X360 Elite because on top of playing all of the incredible 360 catalogue (along with many underrated titles like Singularity), it also plays so many OG XBOX games! My only gripes are that it cannot play Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2/Defiance, Stranger's Wrath and Jedi Outcast.

My biggest snubs from the Xbox backwards compatibility program are as follows. Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Buffy 2 Chaos Bleeds. These games are licensed games based off of a 90's TV show and are WAY better then they have any right to be. The fighting mechanics in these games are some of the best damn fighting mechanics in the industry and at such an early time it's incredible. The Matrix Path of Neo. Another solid licensed game that is WAY better then it has any right to be. This game did a phenomenal job of recreating iconic scenes from the movies in playable form making you feel like Neo. The Legacy of Kain Blood Omen 2. Man what can I say about this game fantastic writing incredible gameplay Gorey visuals it was awesome this whole franchise is a lost gem we need to see a return. The Legacy of Kain Defiance. The last game in the series and arguably the best one. With even slicker combat mechanics gorgeous visuals and an engrossing story it was top notch. It was hands down incredibly good. Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance,Mortal Kombat Deception and Mortal Kombat Armageddon. These 3 right here the pinnacle of the MK franchise when Mortal Kombat made the leap to full 3D it was absolutely incredible brutal fatalities incredible and varied game modes like cart racing chest Kombat and a full on rpg it was insane the amount of content pumped into these games. Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks. Another incredible entry in the MK franchise but this time stepping away from the fighting game genre into that of a full 3D beat em it was a blast and insanely incredible to play. The Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay. Another awesome licensed game that is way better then it has any right being worked on by Vin Diesel and his very own development team at Tigon Studios is was an incredible first-person action RPG with visuals that rivaled Doom 3 before Doom 3 had even come out a great story and awesome gameplay. It was an absolutely stunning experience. This list here is literally just of incredible Original Xbox games and this isn't even all of them had I added Xbox 360 games I could be here all day suffice it to say the Xbox brand has had some of the most incredible video games this industry has ever seen developed for it. Xbox has solidified itself as as a standout brand in the gaming industry delivering us some of the most incredible experiences ever seen with it's hardware here's to another 20 years of Xbox.

X-men Origins Wolverine is such a great game. I passed it on my 360 about 6 months ago. It would've been cool to have it back compat on xbox one/ series x, but that's why I take care and keep my old systems, so that I'll always be able to go back and play old games or try a game for the first time if it's not back compat. Still hopeful that Xbox will add more bc games to the library in the future tho, definitely the best way to experience old games

Both Activision Wolfenstein games (RtCW and Wolf 2009) would be great nostalgia trips. I'm glad somebody else agrees that game is so underrated!! MechAssault would be awesome too! Some other Activision games I wish to see are CoD Finest Hour and CoD2: Big Red One, and don't forget Tony Hawk's Underground! One game I never amd I mean NEVER hear people talk about when it comes to original xbox games is phantom crash. I can't reccomend it enough. A fast paced arena mech shooter with such deep customization of your mech it was called the forza of mech games back in the day. Matty if you've never heard of this game please check it out. A lot of those will be licensing issues, like Harry Potter, Avatar, Spiderman. Even Project Gotham has that issue due to the cars being under license from the manufacturers. As great as Xbox has been with backwards compatibility, it's very unfortunate how much of a hole is left due to licensing and other issues. While there is a lot of great stuff there already, for me, the biggest exclusions are Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Sonic '06 to round out the complete Sonic series. The Spider-Man games are another huge one with how popular Spider-Man is and just how much cool stuff came from the 360 gen like Web of Shadows, Shattered Dimensions, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Wolverine was also incredible. And despite having the first one, it really bugs me they don't have Army of TWO: The 40th Day which was easily the best one in the series.

I think it's cos Sonic Heroes and Shadow are built on the Renderware engine which is owned by EA, so they may unfortunately never come. Spider-Man 2 and Ultimate Spider-Man were so cool, cos Microsoft owns Activision, I don't see why they couldn't make them backwards compatible now

I would’ve really liked the 360 versions of Batman Arkham Asylum and City to have been made backwards compatible. I know it’s common for people to think there’s no point when you can go play the remaster but even then publishers like EA and Ubisoft allow people to play older versions of their games despite a remaster but WB seem well against it for some reason.

A lot of the BC games have major issues "running" on the series S/X. I hope they clear up all the problems. Wasn't Death Row BC on the 360? I thought it was. Pretty sure that's why it's still in my collection.

Man I wanted JSRF so bad ...I tracked down a 360 just so I can play it again. One of my favorite games of all time! Can't wait for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk ...its giving me that vibe. Also glad someone else knows about those Naruto games. The open villiage was awesome in those games.

Really wish they made the Series X just play any and EVERY physical disc you have, for any Xbox system. I know to have a disc drive that could do that would cost more. I would have been willing to pay more to do that! Cause so many games I want backwards compatible, aren't. I still own every gen of Xbox consoles. With Sonic 06 being relisted for 360, I really hope this is repealed. Just like 06, there are so many poorly optimized, slow-running, frame dropping 360 games, especially early releases, and a lot of them were never made backwards compatible. Series and even One provide such a massive performance boost to the games that are BC, it's really a shame that the program was discontinued, especially with so many originals now stuck on OG XBOX and 360.

I was really hoping Persona 4 Arena Ultimax would be made back compat. The first P4 Arena is already back compat, but Ultimax is much better and way too good of a fighting game to be left on 360/PS3.

Couple things. 1. The master chief collection allows us to play the original version of the halo games with a push of the button. I think it’s not needed to save them when you kinda already do at the drop of a button. 2. Og Xbox game snubs: oddworld strangers wrath still makes me mad Xbox isn’t getting any love for that game. 3. 360 game snub: no saboteur

Another bad thing is that for most of these new backwards compatible games you need the disc. You can't even buy the digital so if you have a series s console your basically fucked as you can't buy mortal kombat 9 or the fear games

I would love to see some classic games from the Xbox/PS era. Getting the license for them is either really challenging or near impossible. Luckily I’m saving up for a PS2 and a bunch of PS2 classics such as: Tomb Raider (all PS1 games) Dino Crisis LOTR (both movie games) GTA (all PS2 versions) Time Splitters 2 All Splinter Cells Freedom Fighters (Best game ever) Max Payne 1 & 2 These are just starters and all very cheap to buy at my local shop. I couldn’t believe when I walked in there and they had a PS2 section, with so many classics and even different PS2 Consoles plus HDMI compatible so you can play them on certain HD tvs. They get more games every week which is a bonus for me as I wanna have all this by the end of the year so I can grind some of my classics. I am aware some of these games are with Xbox compatibility and I do own them but honestly the controller plus the old settings on some of them are just weird and clunky on an Xbox Series X controller.

I'm can under stand why some of those games didn't make the cut, probably mostly due to licensing issues etc. But some of them are pretty baffling because they're first party Xbox exclusives, so the fact that they didn't get the BC treatment is pretty confusing.
