Gotta be honest. Not an xbox guy, but Judgment looks spectacular for old gen!!! If the resolution would be bumped up to 1080p with a nice 4X antialiasing it would almost look current gen

What an absolutely amazing video. love your content guys! this is exactly the video I wanted to see. it's really amazing that the X1 can actually emulate the 360 on playable levels at ALL! it is quite sad that they are generally missing the mark by a mere 7 FPS most of the time. they just need a LITTLE BIT more performance from the hardware and they would have nailed it. maybe more optimization in the future of developing the emulation or the next generation of XBOX will be able to emulate it flawlessly or with even better visual fidelity. it's nice to have the option to play on your new console though all things considered.

It simply amazes me how Gears Judgement was so unpopular. I even purchased this upon original release and did not actually try to finish it till 1.5 years ago. The game is not Gears 3, but it's visually a beautiful game and tons of fun. I feel that changing the way to select weapons was unnecessary and something "People Can Fly" should not have changed...great review.

TRITON K175 i've play all 3 gears games on xbox one, there are no crashes at all, but gears 2 is a little bit unstady with framerates but still playable, gears 3 is rocksolid 30 fps now, I haven't noticed any drops.

I got an Xbox One S a couple of weeks ago. I tried Gears of War 3, the frame rate is not nearly as bad as it is on the regular Xbox BUT there is still a delay in controls (from when you press the buttons to when the character does the action) which isn't an issue on the Xbox 360. It's more "playable," but still not ideal. I'm just waiting for Gears of War 4.

I ended up playing Gear of War Judgement on the original console just a few weeks ago...it actually is a very impressive game considering the hardware it runs on...very impressed indeed...ironically, it was a great game with detailed textures of great quality. This game was released so close to Gears 3 that I bought the game, but barely played any of the campaign...it is an amazing addition that should not have been missed...now regarding the original Gears 3? I want it buried or cremated with me in the future...an Xbox 360 classic.

I'm playing on the S version. There was only one spot, where the framerate dropped pretty low, but it was very short, and never really became a problem. Otherwise, it was smooth sailing for me. Much better experience compared to playing on the 360. Darkness isn't backwards compatible yet. But I'll bet it will run pretty good, when it arrives :) I'm glad all the games have locked v-sync now, so we don't get that horrible screen tearing.

Jochem its between Gears 2 BC and Gears 3 (in this video) kind of playable. (leaning a lil more to Gears 2 playable.) I even got done playing the single player campaign right before the most recent patch came out and I only noticed a frame drop here and there but wasnt as bad as it was shown here in this video months ago.

I just played all these 4 games on the Xbox One X and didn't experience any slowdowns at all as seen on this video rock solid 30fps on all games. GoW 3 is enhanced @ 4K and it looks amazing.

Have played through Judgment twice since it came to BC. Didn't have any big complaints. I thought the early part of Gears 2 was rough, as well as the beach scene in Gears 3 on the silverback.

The cutscenes in Gears 1 & 2 were choppy on the One for me I switched to playing back on the 360 during gears 2 and the Cutscenes are much smoother.

gow judgement without a doubt has the best graphics on 360 and ps3. I have both systems, trust me the amount of detail and the quality of the textures is on par with games early in this gen xb1 ps4. developers people can fly had better dev Kit's when it came to the xb360, the graphics are really that good. some of it stems from the fact that they used the most feature set version of unreal engine 3. story wise I did enjoy judgement very much! they dropped the ball with the multiplayer though! very weak game modes for mp and no horde mode was the nail in the coffin. if you haven't played the campaign, play it you wont be disappointed.

and the game if was ported or adapted to PS3 would need drastic reductions to even run at a playable speed. Unreal Engine 3 never worked well on PS3 since most of the stuff implemented for the 360 had to be implemented by hand on the PS3 and only a few team really had the patience and time to actually implement it

I have Gears 1, 2, 3, and Judgement on my XOne. It's a series I've really wanted to get into. In fact Gears 1 was one of the main games I wanted before I got my 360. I never did get it though, on the 360. Eventually(somewhat recently) I got codes for all 4 when someone gave them away on Reddit. Sadly, I was kinda disappointed when I sat down to play Gears 1. Not that I think the game is bad. I'm disappointed that I have such a hard time getting into it. The two biggest problems for me are the colors(or lack of), and the movement. The movement just never feels like I have enough control. You constantly get locked into an unnecessary animation, even when doing something as basic as sprinting or taking cover. Everything just feels sluggish and like you're trying to move through a pool of mud.

remember Xenon was based on a variation of the CELL processor. so it has 3 PPU cores (revised and improved upon the original PPU of the CELL) but no SPUs whatsoever. so it had actually a bunch of power without the complexity of the CELL
