I find the Xbox one more compelling because there's more racing games on it and the Xbox one is far quieter than the ps4. My brother has a PS4 and while gaming the fan in it sounds like a hoover. Its loud as hell. I know I will be told that I can wear headphones and that's "problem solved"but I don't always want to wear headphones. I had an Xbox one for just over a year and during gaming it was very quiet. That's with the console on my computer desk two and a half foot away from me.

H H Unfortunately it looks like Microsoft went with the noisey blower fan solution for the Scorpio. I hope they didn't though. because if its as loud as the PS4 I would have no interest in it. While watching movies you don't want to hear the fan noise and while gaming you don't want that loud hoover sound

I think the Xbox One S controller is the best controller since the GameCube. What makes the Xbox One S so much better than the PS4 is that it took all the Entertainment capabilities of the PS3 and combined them into what the 360 couldn't do and made you do every thing in one console (just like they said w/ the "one" in the console's name). The S can get external hard drives as big as 2 TB and play media mkv mp4 mp3, etc. Can play 4k blurays, 3d blurays, blurays, and DVDs. The Entertainment factor was the biggest reason I went for the Xbox One rather than the PS4. I was growing more attracted to my PS3 than my 360, but Sony blew it by not transferring the same features from the PS3 to the PS4.

you know what i find really funny about the xbox one s vs the ps4 pro? and am not trying to start an argument between xbox and playstation because both are respectively great consoles just an interesting fact. although the ps4 internally is a more powerful system than xbox one s, the ps4 pro is marketing their console solely on this "4k experience" when really the games are being primarily upscaled to 4k as there is no games running natively in 4k. like i said nothing agains it thats absolutely fine. still an awesome console xbox one s on the other hand, the main draw is with it is beautiful and simple design, hdr compatibility and the fact there is a 4k blue ray player(which are usually 200 dollars alone) built in. also a bit more powerful than the original xbox one. BUT HERE IS THE KICKER. is that not alot of people realize there is a 4k upscaler built into the xbox one s that will upscale all of your games to 4k or as close to 4k as they can get just like the ps4 pro. you never see anything about this in advertisements or even product descriptions for the xbox one s. i just find it very funny that microsoft is not attempting to market and capitalize on this feature like sony is. and sony doesn't even have the 4k blue ray player built in.

Upscaling and actually rendering close to or at the higher resolution are not even close to the same thing. You cannot "upscale" in real time and "add" more content that isn't there. It can fake it with interpolation and sharpen even more, but that's not going to look nearly as good in reality. ESPECIALLY if the actual textures used in the higher resolution version are actually higher resolution.

Nick Kenner Upscaling does not improve image quality whatsoever. A native 1080p image from a PS4 has more visual information than an upscaled 900p image from Xbox One S(though hdr is a huge improvement​). Upscaling is just a method to match 4K TV's resolution by approximating the missing pixels with existing information from game engine's native output, it is just filler basically. So far, according to Digital Foundry's analyses PS4 Pro native resolutions on supported AAA games are usually 1440p, 1620p or 1800p. Some games improve other graphical settings as well. Considering even 1440p is %78 boost to 1080p on pixel count, it is absurd to think Xbox One S can produce the same results as a PS4 Pro. That's why they don't advertise it.

Ancient Gamer no, the ps4 slim was no upgrade. The ps4 pro however was an upgrade. Sony hasn't got the chance to let us see wat they can do because they think true 4k is for the next gen console. Pls don't compare the pro versus the xbox one x because the launch date of the pro is: november 2016 launch date of the x is: november 2017!! one year differance can mean a lot for improvement. Sony is smart and will have an very very very big upgrade in the next gen console, the PS5!

Everyone keeps saying that the Xbox should have rechargeable batteries similar to the PS3 and PS4. That's fine when it works but when it doesn't, that means you have to take apart the controller to reboot it. That happened to me with my PS3 controllers more than once.

Got an Energizer 2-controller battery charger stand for $30 pretty much right after XONE S came out. It's paid for itself in batteries already, and completely eliminated the hassle of swapping out fresh AAs. You can also set of the ONE S to turn on/off your TV whenever the console is turning on/off. Seems like a little thing but it's nice to not have to hunt for the remote in the morning.

I'm that one guy who is actually for both Xbox and Playstaytion I loved my old 360 until the red ring of death and now rocking that glacier white PS4 pro my friend has Xbox 1s and it is fun just as my playstaytion I think when people are getting into these arguments on Xbox and Playstaytion it's really a matter of what they played most of their life (most cases not all) and it's just preference too and specifications on what you want in a consel especially community! Playstaytion and Xbox both have great communities don't really see how their different it's just the same people different consels will say the 1s is so nice looking !!! Personally I prefer the way the batteries are done in the xbox controller. This generation I went with rechargable AAs and it works better for me. Its easier for me to swap out batteries instead of plugging my controller to charge. I wouldn't be opposed if the rechargable battery pack was included with the controller.

I need some opinions. This is my dilemma. I purchased an Xbox One S for $200 and I haven't opened it yet. But, I'm wondering if I should take it back and try to scrape up an extra $300 and purchase the Xbox One X. I have a 1080p TV and I don't plan on purchasing a 4K TV anytime soon. And to complicate things a little further, I currently have been playing on an Xbox 360 because I can play many of the games I like. So, what do I do? I'm not wanting to spend a lot of money. I still use my Day One Edition Xbox One that i got back in 2013, still play it almost every day, grabbed an elite controller and a 4tb western digital drive for it a while back. Still runs great. Plus that new fall U.I update makes it feel so fresh. Just got a sexy new 1080p tv too just to prevent me from wanting scorpio. Like hey. If it aint broke. And almost all i play is Battlefront 😂 that max rank life 😎 i guess what im saying is low key the OG xbox still runs great so obviously this one should too. Dont't hate on the batteries, just get some rechargeables (I have a ton of XBOX 360 and ONE controllers) and just have to recharge each controllers batteries ones a month ( I have some generic 2 500 mAh batteries that are holding very well).So there is no reason to spend all that money and pollute more for the non rechargeables. I'm running into a problem. I have a 4k HDR 10 TV and when I play games that are capable of running HDR, I can choose "HDR Gaming Mode" as a display setting. But once I download the KZbin app, that option went away...and when I uninstalled KZbin, "HDR Gaming Mode" came back
