Xbox hasn't revealed anything about the console since like 2 or 3 months ago when they revealed the design, so their fans are gonna grow more impatient than PS fans who just saw the design 2 weeks ago. Also, there was more hype around the PS5 design reveal, since it was so "late". Wouldn't be surprised if they used the same strat with the price reveal (Take the hype away from Xbox by riding on the anticipation of hungry fans, then executing the final blow by announcing an equal or lower price. And trust me, Sony is 100% going to either match or undercut the XSX price. I can bet money on it).
