This video barely tells you how to do anything so let me explain. First before I tell you how to do this it barely works and the game lag and the amount of times crash in my opinion isn’t really worth it but that’s just my experience, the way you activate remote play you are going to need your console so if you dont currently have access to your console you can’t do it, first you need to go into settings then power options and click on the sleep mode now you would think that’s all you need to do but in the video he completely forgets to mention a step after you have done that you need to go on the the device you are trying to play on weather it’s you phone or your Chromebook it doesn’t matter but it runs ten times better if you have a phone and 5 g internet one you go on your device and on the Home Screen click on the console with three lines on the top and bottom of it and click the remote play option once you have done that go back to the console and a thing will come up on screen telling you to enable remote play click yes and next and then you should be set up how you launch games is clicking launch this on console and then clicking the console you want to launch it on and then going out of that name ur going to the remote play function and playing on that then it will launch the game.

It doesn’t allow you to remote play your Xbox if you have a password enabled. There should be a way to type in your password to still stay secure and be able to play remotely. Anything I’m missing?

Tv doesn’t have to be powered on to play remote play your Xbox has to if it’s shutdown once it starts up give it a little time and you can play remote play with no power to your tv now if if there’s no power at all to anything it won’t work

I've tried to get this to work, and honestly it's horrible. I'm confused, you guys literally had the companion app that does streaming/connecting/powering on a console remotely better in all ways. How is the new app worse at all 3 of these? Come on Microsoft.

If you're wondering what went wrong, even when the Xbox is on it won't show up in the new app sometimes. Without there being a dedicated spot for Console as well you just have to keep closing and opening the app until it might pop up, then it'll list the online on xbox as off and when connected it just keeps trying to do the remote play steps that were already enabled before hand and working with the companion app just fine. Why did I try the new app? Cause the companion app is old and my hope was they beefed up the programming on the new app to allow for some form of better connection/play.
