Just get the Xbox PC hybrid in 2026 it will also run playstation PC ports. And because it will have specifications aligned with PC competitors and architecture instead of being restricted to console APU's it's will outpace even the PS6 Pro later down the line. You will also have the option to buy a higher specced hybrid from Xbox PC manufacturers like Dell Asus Lenovo and others. My 2 gaming PC's fall around laughing at the PS5 pro. The same will happen with the PC hybrids and the PS6 Pro.

MS definitely know what they are doing. Unfortunately, I just don't agree with it all. In my opinion no way in hell should MS put all games on PS. That's literally wiping out what's left of their identity.

@@williamcopeland2617 what you’re missing is cloud and PC are absolutely exploding. Cloud is up something like 40% for Xbox announced this year, they have 60-70% market share on cloud. The cloud market is expected to be a 140 billion dollar industry by 2032. Do the math on that and see where PlayStation is at. They will be so far behind it’s not funny, the multiplat approach is literally just subsidizing their Gamepass platform and to gain additional XGP customers that may have never played an Halo or Gears game before. So while on Reddit and YT, these dudes are doing victory laps, it’s actually the beginning of the end for their platform. PlayStation is being gaslit to staying the same, by the time they catch on it will be way too late.

So what happens when 4 Xbox games drop on game pass and PlayStation? Xbox gamers play them all on game pass while PlayStation gamers will spend money. The value proposition will sway some but even if they dont Xbox gets sales. What's PlayStation's identity? Most PlayStation IPs flopped until PS4 and now everything is flopping on PS5...or at least not selling enough for 3rd party devs to take exclusivity deals.

Colin did talk about the leak document briefly, and he did admit that MS/Xbox is better set up for cloud and mobile when consoles become less relevant - but hes also stuck with the console perspective cheered for all the 3rd party exclusives BTW - Xbox looks to be releasing something like 6-8 games this year...9 potentially but doesnt seem super likely, and their june show will also show games coming the second half the year. Avowed, South of Midnight, Doom, Call of Duty, Outer Worlds 2, Towerborne, Elder Scrolls Oblivion remake, and Fable. There's now reports Gears E-Day is supposedly targeting end of the year. I dont see Gears hitting 2025, it never announced for this year.

I think gears e day is coming this year but who knows. Lately it seems Xbox doesn't turn on marketing until 2-3 months before release. Which makes sense financially especially since everything drops in game pass.

Quick question, what if Microsoft would happen to acquire Valve. I know it's very unlikely with Gabe as CEO, but let's say it happens. If you were in PlayStation/Sony shoes, how would you react as Sony? Would you as Sony say it's time to give up on exclusives and just start porting more PS games to Xbox/Steam? As most likely MS would want to bring either the Steam Store or Steam OS to Xbox hardware/Xbox cloud services so you can stream your own Steam games.

It's the skeleton of Deviation Games (a studio Playstation caused to close before it even released it's first game) filled out with rejected Bungie staff. Weird flex that Playstation Frankenstein'd a studio from a bunch of carcasses they made. If they hadn't killed 6 studios they wouldn't need to make this one. @VGFightSchool 3:25 keywords "coupled with exclusivity" I actually own a Series X and not a PS5. If it wasn't for the Bethesda acquisition announcement, I was narrowly leaning PS5 to play the "Demon's Souls" remake. Now next time around, I just don't see why I would buy "Xbox Prime" over a PS6. Seriously, there's just no incentive. I can play "The Elder Scrolls 6" and something along the lines of a "Bloodborne" remake on one platform but not the other. And no, Xbox does NOT gain more money from people invested in the Playstation ecosystem rather than if those same people were subscribed to Game Pass and buying games from the Xbox storefront.

You are both still looking at the over the fence position because you have not had a PS5. I've had one and the software for it was a massive disappointment. You need to stop looking at games only and look at what each ecosystem provides and what devices each ecosystem supports. Xbox gives you play anywhere, so that if you later get a PC your library is there with the PC versions at no extra cost and also gives you cloud play on everything but a playstation device on top of quick resume on console, cross save and cross progression. Then you also have Gamepass with day and date releases also working on all those devices. The rewards program from playing games can even play for your subscription fees. Then there is the playstation ecosystem. If you have a PC you have to double dip even on microtransactions and expansions. There is no cross save or cross progression or connection between the PS5 and PC versions. You sign to give them your personal data linking PSN on PC and get no benefits from it. You can stream to PC but only the PS+ versions and the Sony fans are complaining again this month with the poor additions to PS+ like suicide squad when compared to Gamepass. Sony has nerfed their rewards program to block you amassing enough to buy games or cover subscription costs. There's a reason why 70% of PS+ users are on the lowest tier just to enable online multiplayer compared to 80% of gamepass subscriptions being on the ultimate tier. The playstation users themselves give you a rating then and there of the ecosystem directly with their wallets. Complaining about Sony moneyhatted games and first party exclusives and thinking of jumping ship? Why would you step down into a worse ecosystem to fall for Sony's honey trap. You loose all the games from gamepass and the Xbox content output dwarfs playstation. For a few games which are mediocre at best except for HZD and TLOU1? The next Xbox is due in 2026. It will run playstation PC ports and give you exactly the same Xbox benefits you already have plus access to better hardware, more features of the PC ecosystem with all those other storefronts you won't require the sub for multiplayer component and it's also massively cheaper than the playstation store. Xbox are also licensing out the brand with minimum hybrid PC requirements but that frees Asus, Lenovo Dell and any other manufacturers to compete in the hardware space. I will personally be getting the highest spec hybrid on day one. Even the base level Xbox will be more powerful than the PS6 when it releases later because it will rely on PC specifications not console specifications and a high level hybrid on day one will laugh at a PS6 Pro the same way both my gaming PC's currently laugh at the PS5 Pro. The exclusivity issue with Sony is a dead horse that Sony just keeps slapping on the butt. Just over a year to wait. Then exclusivity is gone.
