You shouldn't use Performance Shadows. Per AlkaJugger's video, it actually worsens performance.

Yeah, I had to do it for Skyrim like I did again for Starfield Series S. I would have also did it for Fallout 4 but my buddy Tenebris handled that. He's kinda the guy who showed me how to make console mods.

If you wanna use this and get achievements heres how... Enable the mod then restart the game then boot it back up and disable the mod and then load a save and enjoy.. you have to do this each time you wanna play

Maurice you should try the "No Filter Mod", it removes the filters on the different planets and makes the game look more clearer. Although some planets look aesthetically better with the filter on them in them, it makes the game look more clearer.

Recently downloaded and installed the uncapped, reduced shadows & reduced crowds. Game runs pretty smooth (between 50-60 fps) in most areas. Great work to the modding community. Bethesda really should be implementing this into the base game.

Just unlock the frame rate, that's enough... No more mods are necessary, with the unlock mod the frame rate reaches 100 120 fps in open areas and 40 50 in the cities, looking the same as before...

Really?? If you are telling the truth then holy shit, I have no idea why bethesda didn't give the option to just uncap the fps, I have no problem with 40/50 fps in cities and ~100 fps in open areas is mindblowing for me, gotta try it out

Actually if you use my performance tweaks mod the regular version it bumps the resolution up from 900p to 1080p so technically it would look better and also run a bit better because I turned off TAA, slightly lowered the view distance, and turned off some other minor things like decals which are the amount of bullet holes that appear, etc. The purpose of those performance mods was to try to combat the frame drops you get in cities. On most planet surfaces yeah it might be fine with just uncap fps but I'd personally turn shadows down as I dont care about shadows and i'd always turn off the god rays which in Starfield specifically only seems create fog in some areas.

This little box has incredible potential. With banger after banger launching soon and some games running on unreal 5 the skies the limit. I keep seeing more and more impressive visuals and frame rates and series s has performed great in my experience. Got mine for £99 new so look out for bargains they are out there.

Starfield is a different game when playing Starfield at higher rates with all the bells and whistles at native resolution. I play at 1440p on my 32 inch monitor with everything maxed out and it runs at 165 fps so it maxes the monitor out. That's with a graphics card that is 4x the cost of a series S. To see the S do what it is doing is pretty impressive when you think of what a console really is. I have called the S the potato in the past but it looks like it really isn't. The modding community always brings out the short comings of developers. I know developers take the safe way but maybe they need to pot a bit more effort into the development. Great video.

It's underpowered for sure. But when I hold the series S in my hand and place it down on my A4 notepad, it looks tiny. This thing is half the weight of the ps4 pro and achieves better performance than it. I love my series s.

You made a mistake there. You are using both of my Performance Tweaks mods. They both alter the same settings so the bottom one in your load order is overwriting the other one. You only need to have one enabled. I labeled one as Series S but really you could use either of them but obviously the Series S version lowers the settings more.

I tested 2 mods, uncap fps and 1080p internal resolution, and I got 60fps in most of the game

It's not a 120fps mod, they just opened the framerate. Like you can see in my video it barely hits 120fps.

Screen tearing is pretty bad. I also wonder how much the tempeture and power requierements increase with this mod. There's always a reason why developers use 30 fps. There's less requierements for power for example. But if the mod reduces other stuff from the game than maybe it's not a problem.

Hmmm, it looks a little jittery in this video. I've mostly played Starfield on PC but do have it loaded on a Series S, so I'll have to check it out. I don't think I'll apply any mods though.

I didn’t even use the creations mods I used my own tv settings to auto motion plus on my Samsung 32” 4K tv and it worked perfectly

They could, that's what people fail to understand. It was a design choice by Todd Howard to lock the frames because he wanted absolutely 0 frame drops. Never once did he say it was because the consoles couldn't handle it

Do mods work on the xcloud version? Wanted to play this on the cloud, but xcloud utilities the S series version of the game sadly = 30fps cap.

he meant vrr monitor (variable refresh rate).. you can search for monitors with amd free sync or Nvidia Gsync, and there are a lot of goods for all budgets, I got mine for 100€ and I'm pleased so far

I can run Cyberpunk 2077 on Ultra with 60+ fps, but I barely hit 60 fps in Starfield on MEDIUM SETTINGS with DLSS ON (Quality). And the game is not looking super duper next gen
