Dolby Atmos license is a one time purchase and is a must to use with any headset on the Xbox. There is absolutely no reason not to activate and use the Dolby Atmos, it improves the audio dramatically and you get to tweak the EQ and profiles.

@@BusyDadGaming my main concern is that it would be to tight a fit with my glasses. So you think their pretty comfortable with glasses on?

The most amount of time I've gamed in a single session with them has been 3 hours and they did just fine. It wasn't super tight and they don't swivel very much so your mileage may vary, but for a 3 hour session, they were fine with glasses. Beyond that, I would think they would start to get uncomfortable, but I'm not sure where that point may be.

I've had a one year sub for Atmos for my Turtle Beach Stealth 600, it was a free trial when i bought the headset... It sounded great but there's only a few select games that were compatible, maybe there's more now.. The 600 themselves are fantastic, wireless, and only $30 more then these Xbox brand

I've heard some good things about those as well, but I would put them more against the Wireless version since those are closer in price.

I'm thinking of getting these, because I'm waiting for an operation so I have to play on my bed for comfort for the time being. So my wireless Turtle Beach are crackling because I'm far away so my streams have a loud crackling

Yeah, they'd do the job and are a good budget option. I've seen them fairly discounted recently. If you want better audio, I'd suggest going with other headphones tho.

If I were to to recommend a headset for people on a budget, I would go for the Eksa E900. Really happy with mine. Being a dad, I'm always on a budget, and I feel this headset punches way above their weight

Yeah, you're right. At the time of the video, there was a subscription offering, but it wasn't for Atmos and I got those mixed up.

The wireless one sound incredible I don't care who says what sometimes I have to turn it down and hurt my ears and I listen to my music loud but I'm just talking about video games and movies

I've heard the wireless sound profile is better than the wired version and you can tune it via the app. It's a decent set of headphones for sure.

I'm thinking about trying the wired version because the wireless one seems to have a little latency and cuts in/out. Sometimes turning the headset off/on fixes it and other times it seems like I have to reboot the entire console before the static and cutting in/out will stop.

That's a bummer about the wireless version. I didn't run into those issues with the wired version.

I’ve had an Xbox headset but prefer the wireless Rig 800LX. It was more comfortable than the Xbox…to me. In fact, I have a wired Rig headset for my iPad.

I bought and has same quality sound like wireless Xbox headset. Bass heavy headset and you can adjust buying Dolby Atmos. Sound IS Very loud on Max volume.

I have these. Can’t get mic monitoring to work which I find annoying enough to return. Tried with two different controllers and two different headsets. My voice never comes through the speakers. Others can hear me ok and the sound and feel are good enough.

Good review. Bought these over Xmas, I feel these are pretty comfortable, one of the most comfy I've used personally. Sound out of the box is a 4/10 imo, pretty bad actually. With Dolby Atmos (which I got for 10 quid) I'd say sound is a 7/10. Considering they're pretty cheap (even after throwing in a Dolby license), I think these are pretty solid. A decent option for those wanting something cheaper, but the dolby thing is a must I feel, otherwise terrible sound.

Thanks and I agree. Out of the box sound profile is not good. Once you're able to put an EQ on it and tune them a bit, they are decent for the price point.

You can in principle, but my personal experience is subpar with it. Tends to turn off and doesn't really work for me in the end; constantly have to switch to the app tu turn it back on. Seems to be a well known problem in Reddit and they haven't fixed it yet and it's been a while, doesn't look like it's a priority. Ended up returning these and buying another headset. I still think there are people that may find these adequate , but imo depends on what kind of games you like and so on. This is on gaming, not in streaming etc.

Just bought one today but it turned out having an echo any solutions to it I plugged in my old headset and there were no echos could my xbox headset be defective?

Very possible. I didn't have any echo issues while using it with an Xbox.

Great video. I'm thinking about buying these, but for using as a headset to play my older systems like PS2 and gamecube. Given it has a 3.5mm jack, I can plug it directly into my old plasma tv. Will this do the trick? I don't see why not, but I don't know if the mic integration will mess with my sound, or if the mic automatically just turns itself off when plugged into non-xbox one/series x devices

You can mute the inline mic, so that's not an issue. The cable isn't super long so it'll depend how close to the TV you'll be sitting.

Unfortunately, the cable isn't detachable, so you'd need to replace the unit unless you're good with electronic repair. Which I am definitely not.

The wired version doesn't work with the xbox accessories app. Unless you have Dolby Atmos, you won't be able to change the equalizer settings for the headset.

These sound like pure ass out of the box. Heavy EQ can make it sound semi-decent but overall still a bad headset. For $50 go get the Hyper X Cloud X.

@@BusyDadGamingI bought them because I used my Pulse 3D on xbox and I had some problems with the microphone because is very close to the speaker so friends heard the game more than my voice, in addition to the fact that the Directional Audio being developed for ps5 was not the Best experience , now for the moment with the Xbox ones all those problems have been solved

That was a common complaint and something I'm not a fan of (hearing the game more than the mic). Even worse is a game where you can't mute specific people, lol.

Hey there. I just bought this for 28 dollars. But I am not sure if they are good enough. I just saw a deal and take it. But the sound is really really bass heavy and I am not sure to keep it or not. I wouldn't give it 60 dollars. But for 28, I am really not sure... It is just the sound that makes me sad but it's also the most important thing right?

For $28, that's not bad at all for what you're getting. If you want more control over the sound profile, you'd have to go with the wireless version of the headset at a minimum. There are other headsets that would have better sound profiles out of the box, but nowhere near the price point you got that headset for.
