Xbox Series X in 2025 - Still Worth it?

I wanted to keep my Xbox series X ssssoooooooo bad but they didn’t have anything I was interested in. Just the Forza franchise. Traded it in for a PS5 and honestly I like it better. I do miss Forza lol

​@@MLS752 I literally got an Xbox just because of Forza. Many people are only interested in one or two franchises. Gran Turismo is good, but Forza has Motorsports to compete with that, but the real gem is Forza Horizon. Plus, I ended up falling in love with the Halo franchise aswell. Don't get me wrong, PS has some great exclusives, but they are all mostly third person rpg games

I think it's worth it! I have a pretty beefy PC with a 4090, so I actually ended up selling my Series X a few months ago. My thought process was: "Well I can already play most Xbox games on PC, and everything else on my PS5". This is true, but now I realize that there's something special about the convenience of a console. I work a lot, and some times I don't have a lot of time to game and it's disheartening when I see that I have to wait on my game to build shaders after an update. It's a minor gripe, but it's enough for me to appreciate my consoles. Also, quick resume is awesome and enables you to get in the game that much faster. Long story short: convenience is a great thing.

I have a pc, ps5 and Series X. The Series X to me is way more convenient when moving between console and pc. Everything is seamless.

I'm getting a Series X in a few months and I've already set up my account on the Xbox app. Game Pass has some classics I really want to play again such as BLACK from ps2. As well as all of Halo and Gears which I've never tried before. Quick resume is another convenient feature I'll be looking forward to. I'm giving my PS4 to my father as he used to game years ago, no use selling it.

Console itself is fine. Main issue is a lack of good quality 1st party games. Because of this I sold mine recently.

Ive had mine since 2021, its the base model. I will say it has held up very well and I really love mine. Games look and run great and on top of that the backwards compatibility is amazing!

Great video! I just picked up the white digital edition one yesterday. Been loving it so far! I’ve been a pc gamer for a while, currently also have a 4090 rig (have had it for about 1.5 years). I’ve put a lot of hours into the pc but lately I’ve been seeing myself drift away from pc due to work, comfort and peace of mind. Also - as an impulsive buyer.. I bought the ps5 pro when it launched, played it a “bit” and I returned it. The price is just insane for me to justify keeping it and felt like it was time to return it. Didn’t feel like I felt much difference in games either (imo). Very happy with the series x! And definitely agree about.. trying out a game, you don’t like it? Uninstall and play another. Love that freedom and flexibility

honestly just sold mine, good console don't get me wrong I was an Xbox main since mid xb1 but the "no exclusives" approach mixed with the large cost for an extra storage SSD, Plus I play a lot of Japanese/anime titles and the support and optimization for those titles is horrendous. I already have a PC so I could just use that for game pass if I ever wanted it. Just going to switch to the PS5 pro get the PS games and exclusives plus Xbox games that are coming over also love the sleek interface and the ability to record for over an hour plus a built in video editor, don't know how microsoft still only allows 1-2 minute recordings in this day and age where content creation is so huge.

Nice review. I have PS5 and Xbox S|X and I find the Xbox controller much more comfortable and prefer the ability to swap AA batteries. Also, I played COD with mouse and keyboard the other day on Xbox and I really enjoyed it. I’m going to try Age of empires next. I find more games I’m interested in playing on game pass. Finally, I tried running MS Word on it, and was pleasantly surprise how well it worked. So, I can use it like a basic PC. That said, I like PlayStation app on my phone better cause I can search for deals and buy games easier. I like how quiet the DualSense controller is on ps5. I find GT7 more beginner friendly than FM8. I loved the Uncharted series. I hope the console competition (wars) never end because that’s what makes them better and better.

I really like my series X with ultimate Game pass its soo good. Yes I still got a PS5 for the exclusives but honestly most other games I play on Series X . I like the U.I , the First party games on GP, the backwards compatibility, how quiet it is compared to my PS5 . And lastly the Look of it . I like how easy it is to see which games you own and which are just game pass . I get all my PS5 games used physical to save money i have the basic PS plus cus without first party games on it PS premium doesn’t make a lot of sense. If you already have a PS5 a Series S is worth it with Gamepass imo

Game pass on any xbox version is worth it especially the series s with game pass its the best deal in gaming and a $500 pc cant beat it 4 years later. the series x is still as good as a $1000 pc 4 years later you can even get the series all digital for $450.

Im not a fan boy but ive had every xbox before and i have never had a problem and years of gaming and the series x which i have now is a beast of a console but id consider getting a ps5 for exclusives when they go cheaper

I think it's worth it. What am I getting out of PS5? 😒 Sony is slacking on the PS5 lately. I feel like Xbox gives you better value. Plus Microsoft isn't forcing you to play on a Xbox. You can play on almost about anything. PC. Mobile (apple or android phones or tablets.) You can even play game pass on a VR headset like the meta quest 2 and meta quest 3/3s. And on fire TV's and Samsung TVs. Soon on LG TVs at some point as well. You don't have to pay to play the games, as long you're subscribed to game pass, you'll be able to play on almost any device. Sony, you pay for a game on the PlayStation console, you have to pay, unless the games are included in PS plus. But Sony isn't doing that a lot like Microsoft is, Sony forces you to pay for the games. And if you want to play the PlayStation game on your PC, you have to pay another 70 dollars to play the game, even though you already bought the same game on your PlayStation. Xbox isn't forcing you to buy the games if you decide to play the game on PC or other devices. Once you're subscribed to game pass, just play the games without buying the games. Sony, they don't care if you're subscribed to PS plus, they'll force you to buy the game on PC. Microsoft won't do that, as long as you're subscribed to game pass, you should be good to play the games without buying the games. Sony, do better... I love Sony and PlayStation, but they need to do better. Stop forcing people to buy the same game on PC, make it god damn free if people are subscribed to PS plus. Sony is so money hungry. Sony: give me money give me money give me money give me money! Shut the f up Sony! 🙄

The Xbox Series X is a great console, there's no debate about that. I've always been a PlayStation fan myself, but I absolutely love Gears of War. The problem is that Microsoft haven't delivered well on exclusive games in recent years. What's more, they've recently been porting some of their franchises onto the PS5, giving gamers less reason to buy their console. Console exclusivity is part of the charm with gaming

Better off getting some rechargeable batteries eg. Eneloops and battery charger to use with your controller. The Microsoft rechargeable battery is ok, but I've always found them to lose capacity within a year or so.

Xbox is ok but Switch and PlayStation are still superior and that’s due to the exclusive games and imports only on Switch and PlayStation. There are hundreds of more games to play on Switch and PS5. Also Gran Turismo 7 has a higher Metacritic score than the latest Forza Motorsport game. Forza Horizon 5 seems ok but seems it’s coming to everything now. GamePass doesn’t have many good games to me personally it’s a lot of Battlefield and indie games. They have some day one games but not that great.

This is false exclusives are constantly remade and remastered.. mostly everyone has played them and not a lot of new people are coming to PlayStation every one has one. Exclusives are over rated for the most part
