Hello and welcome to episode 25 of Missle industries Ford Falcon crusty wagon project. Last episode I got the roof into paint and prepped other parts of the wagon body for paint and lastly put my Taxi orange guard into primer to see how much work it would need. The years of storage haven't been kind, the chopped guard was covered in small dents and scratches. The upshot is it needs some work because it looks shit.
I had an old tin of bog lying around that amazingly still had hardener left so I went to work building out the most obvious dents. I also deployed a can of spray putty to good effect on the taxi guard AND the roof spoiler to help smooth things out.
I'm pretty keen to get the roof spoiler back on the car because much of the rear tailgate trims and surrounds were missing when I got the car and while I think I have everything I wont know for sure until the spoiler goes on and I put everything else back together!
My freshly primed bonnet is also frying up the paint on the upper surface, the longer it goes the worse it is getting. I may be forced to paint strip it at this rate as I would rather not attack it with a flap disk over its entire surface as I have to see it while I'm driving it!

Xc guards are nice and curvey and worth the effort you put in. Great job and great video, Thanks. I have used spray putty in the past, I found it best to let it sit a week or so before you paint it, and even guide coat it again before painting, as it has a tendancy to sink, and if it sinks, you see it in the paint.

If you only have very minor dents , once panel is primed . Look up Upol gold fine fill. Way easier to use than normal bog. It can go over primer also if a low shows up in the guide coat. Also very good after you have bogged a section to fill any air bubbles or lows The fine fill would be perfect to put the finishing touches on those repairs . It sands easy without affecting the edges of your original repair

Finally a comment from someone who sounds like he knows what he's doing. Oxy acetylene would be helpful because you're probably going to need to do some shrinking after you hammer it up. Slapstick would probably be more helpful along with the correct shaped dollies.
1🥺🎉 #thankyou
