Hello and welcome to episode 26 of Missle industries crusty wagon project!
This episode started all the way back on ANZAC day afternoon while I was on Marketplace looking for XC parts and up pops a seller looking to off load three clapped out guards that he had dragged out from behind his shed.
One of the two right side guards looked worth a punt so I messaged him with a $50 offer for just the guard that I wanted rather than all his scrap and he accepted! Unfortunately the guard was quite a bit worse than the photos revealed but with a wrinkly donor guard at home to use for repair panels I decided to grab it anyway.
After working on the guard over the course of two weekends I finished with something that I would be happy to bomb with primer and bolt onto the car!

Good job! I spent many hours bringing my xb guards back to life. The rare spare inner and outer lower sections aren't the best. You scored well with that guard. I scored a panel van door of fb for $80 😊

I haven't tried any aftermarket panels yet, I will probably get one for the tailgate as I'm out of flat scrap. $80 for a coupe shaped door is a score.

@@stephenblom8638 yeah, I know I had some children a while back and changed them frequently. Yes, sometimes when it is black, I'll say that it is Meconium Black just to get a reaction or a rise out of someone. Got one this time to hay. 😉 Cheers. At least your brain works fine. With some the whole nasty topic goes floating over the top of there heads and they miss it altogether. Sorry if i have upset you. some like me just decided to never grow up, It can be a problem from time to time with the mrs too.
