But for fyi, in the UK acting scene, it’s more normal for actors to reprise in smaller roles even if they made it to more famous roles, since the scene at minimum pay is better for living costs and the culture sees acting more as a passion. It’s why you can have an actor who played as a multi-season companion on Doctor Who make a return to voice a character not for one occasion, but two.

Rex’s VA still might’ve changed but not Shulk since Al Weaver’s voice had way more of a youthful quality that would need a big reach in range for that mature fatherly Rex in comparison to Adam Howden’s capacity. Al Weaver still clearly is up for lines as Rex, since he has reprised for Smash Ultimate, there’s nothing trying to remove Al Weaver.

The Final Form sounds a bit like Hades from FFXIV. I also like how for Monado Eater instead of just saying the name of the move he says "Nothing means anything." I could have sworn he did say Monado Eater though when I first fought him, since his voice is so hard to hear with the music lol.

Honestly me too. While A is cool and her voice is also rather nice to listen to. OG Alvis just hits different. For the game to rip his personality out, give it to someone else, and then replace it with an evil ai so we could fight him was so disappointing to me. I wish maybe you could swap between them like Pyra and Mythra

Alpha embodies the part of humanity's desire that is directly opposite to Moebius. Where Moebius is humanity's desire to cling to the past and present and remain ignorant of the future, Alpha, fueled by the opposite desire, would do away with the past and abandon it wholly in favour of the future. You could say he is as much of a "force of nature" as Z technically is. And note that the other cores of the Trinity Processor are missing. Without the other cores, Pneuma and Logos, (or suitable stand-ins) to balance him out, a single-minded, relentless desire is basically all that remains. I think that was the gist of it.

I can understand founding Alpha underwhelming but Alvis wasn't "ruined" since the game makes it clear that A is just our XC1 Alvis we know and love in a new feminine body. In the ending scene Shulk calls A even "Alvis". If anything, FR turned Alvis/A into a S-Tier character in my eyes.

But he just chose to ignore that now? Years *after* Klaus and the other trinity processors died? And also saw a vision of all of this but chose to follow this path anyway??

When he was factory reset (like most blades are when they returned to thier core) and reawakend as the arcitcture for origin. There's a whole thing about how mobeius and oroboros are like the "trinity processor"equvalints this time around (like zanza and mayneth were in xeno 1) created by origin. And so the "new" alvis,alpha became the arbiter of THOSE concepts instead of being the arbiter of zanza and mayneth, while drawing on the logic of pneuma and logos. And so alpha deemed this world unworthy as per the unconscious opinion of the many wills that make up orobros and mobeius. However, the data in core crystals never dissapears truly, it always accumulates, ghondor "set free" that part of alvis, that data that still was within the core.

If so, then that means our alvis, before A split from him, still decided to wipe everything out with his conscious in tact.

@@firesnakex8 A also says that they were "shackled" to Ontos. My understanding of the situation is that, while the Alvis of XC1 remained, the death of Klaus brought back Ontos the processor to the surface, which was way stronger than their feelings and memories and thus couldn't act on them. It still doesn't make much sense -A remained, feelings and empathy and all, so the death of Klaus did not reset Alvis like a blade would, so why would he suddenly act so differently ? He should have been either a blank slate or the same person.
