Crowd control will probably come from powers rather than weapons if you've just started. If you only have access to the base human classes then consider the human adept and human engineer. They are both excellent classes that are viable at any level of the game with intelligent use of powers. Xcal recently did a human adept video.

Hurricane with ULM is the highest damage:weight ratio in the game, great for finishing off big target bosses. My favourite area of effect stagger power in the game is probably the Male Quarian's Arc Grenades, staggers all mooks nearly instantly and with large radius.

Warp has a much longer cooldown than Throw which changes the playstyle a bit. Both powers have evos to increase Biotic Explosion damage and force by 50%, though Warp's also increases the radius.

Hey Xcal I've been watching your videos for years now and I feel like i have a general idea of what kind of game you would like. Theres a game that just came out on Steam and It feels and plays like Mass Effect 3 It's called WarFrame. I's a over the shoulder shooter that has classes each with their own kind of play style and all sorts of crazy shit. I personally love it cause it feels so similar to Mass Effect MP. I think it would be awesome to see you play and Zerg shit like you always do.

The extra health & shields come in more handy than you think. You can't do damage if you're dead.

Well thanks for the recommendations. I have nearly all characters, weapons are lacking, but I do have the hurricane, so not too bad. The vanilla human adept was the first MP character I played back in the demo, the crowd-control is very good with them indeed.

The Fury has to be my favorite adept as well, the Asari stasis adept is a close second though.

Great videos and gameplay. It's easy to say from my armchair but it looked like there were some situations where the teleport dodge would have come in useful. Personally I always forget to use it.

It's most likely for the cooldown. Extra shields would not help too much over a lesser cooldown on powers

I usually use cryo ammo using talon, falcon or acolyte, because it weakens armour and at least slows enemies so you can bypass mistakes more often.

Because that little squishiness you are going to get won't save you. It doesn't give you enough shields for it to be necessary, more so if you can replenish shields almost instantly. Almost all the times you are going to die is due to getting zerged or unable to restore shields

yes, use incendiary rounds and the reegar carbine with warp is one of the best combos in the game, the valkyrie is a boss killer and the fury is more about mopping up the foot soldiers

@ Pr0toPaladin, obviously you dont have the valkyrie ten if you say its poopy, since it puts out incredible damage at ten, and @snoman c, good cc characters are any that can biotic explode or debuff/strip shields, or just carry a falcon ultralight on a caster and you're set.

For xcals picks, I'd say batarian or geth jugg, geth or mquarian eng, paladin or warlord sent, either Drell or geth inf, and either slayer or kroguard, as for mine, its collector, geth trooper, geth eng, paladin, Drell inf, and batarian brawler

We all start somewhere. They at least got gold experience with an awesome player who carried them to extraction. It's easy to point out flaws but not so to correct them. TL;DR give them xcal's ME3 channel and they'll be gold players in no time

For ME4 they really need to make it so you can choose your powers instead of just classes. There's so many awesome powers in MP that are unavailable in SP like annihilation field.

Fury is fun as fuck. It's a little difficult to play on consoles, due to the close range nature of it and the slow-as-balls turn speed

Living in Australia is awesome, but not being able to play the fury without being gimped is not. Asari Valkyrie is however fairly decent because of the extra bulk in a tech armour/annihilation field/full fitness no power combo.

unfortunately the is almost dead but it was fun as hell....my over 1000 hours into it prove that and to think that they put this multiplayer in the game as a half baked sideshow but ended up being one of the best multiplayer experiences ever...

If you're talking about the gun, it's meh, there are way better assault rifles out there. The Asari Valkyrie is great. It's almost the same as the Fury but doesn't have quite the same offensive capabilities but it makes up for that by being way bulkier.

Bruce question: why put any points into passives at all if Fury's mainly get their damage off biotic explosions? Instead going 66606? Wouldn't that optimize her power (and health)?

The Valkryie's Warp/ Annihilation Field Biotic explosion is more powerful than the fury Throw combo right?

Put it on a Turian Soldier or a Geth Infiltrator and use stabilization mod 3, then you should be good to go.

Quick question. Does the Hurricane get better stability at higher lvls? I have a lvl 2 Hurricane and a lvl 5 stability mod. Is that enough to forego the barrage gear bonus and just use get h scanner on my Fury? Thx in advance.

I'm a very supporty player, and like to protect any of my team if say 2 go down and are constantly reviving.
