Yeah you should never stay in one spot. The one hunter skill can pinpoint your location in around 2 scans if you're just gonna sit still. My strategy is to usually slowly move around the hunter so the scan won't just spot you.

Actually, I won as a rebel when I took precautions about playing around the "afk hunter". I still moved to the hardest spot tho my teammates play around the hunter. When the hunter thought that the three of us were near him, he moved and caught my other teammates. I think he was baited by the skill of my other teammates making him think that we were all together at that moment, not knowing I am at the top watching them what will happen and I am right, the hunter was just baiting. Good thing I still hide and make us rebels won.

I used the trick back in 1.5 after a hunter in some random matchup didn't move an inch and disconnected after a solid minute, disbanding the party. The hunter had red ping, the rebels i played with got real cocky and decided to just fool around with the idling hunter. Saw the potential there straight away and I did manage to get away with pretending to be afk a couple times lol. Hilarious as it was, I figured out quickly that it only ruins the fun for everyone else so I decided to play the normal way.

When I first played in my main alt acc this happened to me when i accidently took out my mouse and it committed a "Death: Fall Damage" move and the rebels just started going crazy so I press E like crazy and pretty much ignore the next batch of crazy players. Best advice for rn windtrace is to blend in or use tall hot men or women as runners and when the hunter ain't coming your way go with the balance and go around items to dodge their sight

I actually lagged once as the storm make the connection kinda funky. When i got into the match, i can see an Amber and a Sayu jumping taunting me (qingce village). So when i managed to get in, i jump twice giving them a split second notice then dash capture them. The Sayu was taunting as a scarcrow so didnt react in time, while the Amber managed to run a a bit but Kaeya is Kaeya. The last one i caught with the 60s highlight favor. Since i did gave them a warning with 2 jumps, and i didnt actively try to fake afk, it is by no mean my fault

But sometimes hunters just want to chill : a childe player in dawn winery just sat at a table, when the hunter passed by he just sat too, after that everyone just gathered. I don't really think that this is toxic.. i mean looking at it, it seems a lot of fun. The rebels looks like they are having a quality time messing around... i could say i'm a slight introvert and only joined coop domains when i'm ar 56, and doing coop is so much fun because no matter what, i'm like in incognito.. wind trace is the same as that, i play even if i reached the coin limit because i'm having fun.. spamming chat and trying to play with the hunter makes this mini game memorable... i'm sorry if some people feels like they are made fun of.. but when someone reply to my messege in chat, it is all friendly banter.. when i'm the hunter, i text in chat that i'd catch them and most of the time they reply with their own funny comments and how they will avoid my attemps and they makes the experience more exciting.. life is short and this event wont probably comeback after a year, make the most of it, and having fun sure is rewarding..

It would be the hunter's loss if they cant catch us in time right?? And when they move i'll let the adrenaline control my fingers.. its just how i deal with those but you could also find other way to make things fun.. its just a game after all.. maybe i was just used to playing chase when i was a child so i prefer to move around and there are also those who prefer to hide until the game ends.. everyone has their own idea of what's fun but trying new things could also be beneficial...

There was a hunter that tried this on one of the teams but no rebel budged, they ended up disconnecting for real because no one wanted to come near. They were probably banned for a while lmao

@@ellecan2195 it's not as afk, they were banned for exiting before the timer ends. Same with rebels, if you exit without ending the game, you cannot join for a while. Using this strategy is fine.

I was wondering why the person was staying still , yesterday in windtrace , but we all still stay where we are. Like waiting for him to catch us. Apparently who played windtrace from awhile won't really go near the hunter even if they are afk. And the others was talking , if the hunter is afk , I somehow told them their game are still loading cuz i didn't know it was on purpose lol.
