Xcelerator working on second train! What to do with Coast Rider? Peanuts Celebration prep!

I grew up visiting Knott's Berry Farm during the 90's, those were the better days of the park before the Knott family sold it to Cedar Fair in 1997. You're right about Scrambler being an indoor ride, but it was never inside Johnny Rockets. The restaurant didn't come to the park until the mid 2000's. Boomerang opened in the year 1990, and the coaster left Knott's in 2017. I rode it about 20 times during in final day in April, which was also the last day of the Boysenberry Festival. Jaguar was my first roller coaster, and it will be turning 30 years old this summer. The Roaring 20's turned into The Boardwalk in 1996, and Knott's will celebrate 30 years next year. 1997's Windjammer Surf Racers was my first looping coaster, but I don't remember much of what happened and it was at night. I do remember the ride being closed during 1999 and 2000, but I never got the chance to see it get torn down in 2001. Perilous Plunge opened in summer 2000 and closed in summer 2012. The reason Coast Rider got those painful Shin Guards in the first place happened during 2016, during its third year. Some kid tried to get of the ride before it entered the station and ended up injuring his leg.

Coast Rider could easily be re-themed as Wacky Soap Box Racers, but there wouldn't be side-by-side cars.

Before johnny rockets was in that location the building was a huge arcade, the scramble building was more down where coast rider is at. It was called whirlpool it was home to some mazes back in the 90s as well

The whirlpool had the greatest sound track. Next to the old red baron location, maybe bring a kids ride where wipe is

So we asked about that little construction they’ve been doing next to Wescom and a couple of the security guys said they think it’s gonna to be a breakroom for them so they don’t have to walk through the park for breaks. Take that with a grain of salt but that’s all we’ve heard about it lol

Why not fix the cars in coast rider with comfortable seats and add a ride like pony express between coaster diner and accelerator. I believe in trying to have a happy medium with thrill rides and easy rides a dad can have with his younger kids without puking. Either way more additions of rides may somewhat offset the crowded waiting times for rides.

@@HectorGarcia-k8p2v I agree. And I think that’s what Knotts wants to be. I’m fine not having thrill rides all over the place and if coast rider wasn’t so painful it wouldn’t be a bad ride lol

I wish they would remove Johnny Rockets and Coast Rider lol...Im 6'3 and not a small guy...I cant even get the bar to go down far enough...even though it locks...for me to ride! I still remember and going to...the "Dancin' Dolphins and Divin' Doggies" show they used to have over there in the boardwalk area lol

I'm just going to say it now, we aren't getting a second train for Xcelerator, the purple train has to be removed soon, as in like in February.

@@dogsinthedark yeah the plan was to fix this one and replace that one while the purple one goes through a few months of refurb. Then after that, sky’s the limit baby!!!

I want them to remove coast rider and coasters and put a gravity group family woodie and johnny rockets and coasters literally sell the same thing

@@Kyro-c5i yeah and Johnny rockets doesn’t accept meal plans so it kinda defeats the purpose of having it back there. Maybe a woodie that has a splashdown so they can keep that water? I’m an advocate for keeping people cool over there lol

@ on your next visit to the farm you should show everyone the back door entrance to the Charles Schulz theater inside the candy store next to the speak easy. There is woodstocks nest in there. I barely found this like 6 months ago.
