watching this and thinking a lot that from xai's perspective, who cannot see oz as a person, as anything other than a monster who forced its way into his family, his daughter was always inches away from dying. and i'm sure he was disgusted by his helplessness. but it made him blind to his family's happiness. his brother died and i'm sure ada wouldn't want to even talk to him after oz was gone. and the thing is? the worst thing is? after oz finally managed to look xai in the eyes? after seeing him for the man he was? oz finally understood what xai wanted to protect. and being able to acknowledge that all his abuser wanted to do was to keep his beloved sister safe... if it was anyone else but oz, i'm sure they'd break

I used clip studio paint! :) yup, frame by frame
