Im insanely excited for the Highway Men faction. As far as balancing goes, the XD dev team has done amazing balancing with this game so far so im sure they will adjust as needed when it comes to this faction so im really not sweating the balance aspect of the faction. I just wanna rev up and go on some streaks man. I wanna fill a room with sawblades!!! That ultra is the coolest thing I've ever seen man!! I wasn't very excited about GSK for S1 because they're so focused on objective play and im not really that kind of player. I just assume that the recoil also increases alongside the boost in fire rate. So it sort of balances out. A player will have to build around the faction to counter the increased recoil when getting kills

Your suggestion about the highway man passive change is interesting. But we really have to wait and see how much the increased rate of fire impact every gun. Maybe there are some guns that benefit the most out of it while others not a lot. i hope we can help the devs see how powerful this could be during the playtest tomorrow and make them nerf the starting speed, i dont mind someone getting a bit of and advantage over me, but i dont like it if they have that advantage from the start. make highwaymen a little slower than everyone at the start of their life. at 2 kills you get up to speed, then at 4 kills youre slightly faster. like the kunai in tf2, you start at 70 health, but if you backstab a full health enemy you go up to 210. weak at the start, but very strong if you do well.

I've heard that season 4's faction may actually be from tom Clancy ghost recon series (based on the shadow and I've played ghost recon from quite some time now) although this is just a theory but if so I may have an idea on what it could possibly be for the passive or ultimate Either (and these AI teammates in ghost recon can be just as lethal a you and actually help the player something that shocked me) Combat drone (one of the AI teammates passives and arguably quite good) Damage resistance (one of the AI teammates passive not the best but keeps the AI especially on the hardest difficulty) Tear gas (the technique from the assult class out of the 7 classes and techniques each class with their own technique) Recon mastery (a perk you can equip that reduces the cooldown of techniques and sync shots I think it's been a while since I used it) Close and personal (Another perk which actually increases reload speed and mobility) all of these are from ghost recon breakpoint (If you want to know all of them I recommend looking up all of them I can imagine a lot of them being in xdefiant)

i think the passive being streak based is fine considering you'd be knee capped by your ammo capacity. the amount of times i need to toss my gun for some random load out is too damn high already. the majority of the time it'll end up being a cleaner passive.

Idk most players struggle to get 4 kills in a row cause there’s so much going on. I can casually go on a 5-10 without it but others wont be so lucky. Firemen will still be dominant cause they can kill you off your streak.

I'm excited for the new season because I love this game. But I have to say that this new faction could break the game if not balanced properly. All the sweat lords are gonna use it, so the lobbies could be unplayable because it seems very OP. Imagine a team full of only this faction lol. There is something they said that they are gonna change too but I never saw it in the video... They said they will overhaul the deadsec faction because it's so annoying, but I saw in their video that the spider bot is unchanged. Snipers still need more nerfs too. Other than that the game is really fun. I love the non SBMM lobbies too, because the BO6 beta was not fun.

I have different opinion about Rapid fire increase, what if we think about it as a killstreak in a sense, yea you may say that we an Ultimate to imitate that, but it is not the same at all, your ult does nothing until it hit 100% and for many people that's too long, with this passive it kinda gives you this progression in between. As for content overall, team speak big game, but we will see how it is going to play out, as we know this project doesn't have any spare lifes, we all read this article, if it will not be able to "get back from the hospital" then support will be cut, whether it is good content or not... will see, the court of public opinion shall decide upon release.

Highway men are going to be OP and over used and it’s just another gimmick no real game changing fixes everything is still “a patch coming later” or “we are working on it” so I’m not coming. You do know you can hack the sentry gun and turn it against the other team. Their is always a counter to these factions, yes highwaymen is op but if you are smart you can counter it. ADS may have some impact on the blades being shot out the ultra, but then again maybe not, you might not have an answer for the blades 😂 I’ll be using dedsec to somewhat counter it.

You either play a specific gadget that makes you anchor an area because it only covers small part of the map at any given moment and also has a cooldown and forces you to camp, or you just accept the fact you will get one shot every 30 seconds. That's not a good design.

If people are spamming nades, I run ads. If people are running fire, I run heals. Everything has a counter. It’s a matter of if you are too stubborn.

It sounds really good on paper, but in practice I guarantee you you will die from this stuff a lot regardless and EMP won't help you at all, I mean who the hell is EMPing people randomly around the corners? Nobody. You always use this gadget reactively like against a Phantom's shield, and if you don't die a lot - that's only one EMP per life and you tend to lose them quickly. This launcher won't be fun to run against and it's going to be nerfed, I GUARANTEE you this 2 ammo count won't be a thing somewhere post launch.
