I found one particular corner where I could see the enemy's character model peaking out, unloaded a full clip and couldn't hit anything. From his POV he probably couldn't see me, but I could see him he was just invincible from that angle.

From personal experience while playing on eu. Hit reg, over all net code, stability and dying around corners wasn't an issue for me so far. Yes i died around corners a few times nothing like the examples shown in the video.

I agree with some of these points, so I'm just going to comment about the ones I don't agree with. The spider is the easiest ability to counter in the entire game. It makes way too much noise, it stands in front of you before jumping, and while it is jumping it only takes one melee attack to destroy it. It doesn't affect me at all. The only time I was pissed about was during day 1, as someone who never played the game before (I barely tried a few CoD games for a few hours in the past too, so many things are new to me), but after that it was never an issue again. Most people panic and start shooting at it, which is a terrible idea, even if your aim is good, because there will be a guy waiting for you behind the corner. Don't lower your crosshair. The wallhacks imo shouldn't give vision to the entire team, because people can be anywhere at any time in this game, and this isn't Valorant (we have Sova for wallhacks there. Lovely guy), but it has a huge downside, which is that the entire enemy team can know exactly where you are. I'm talking about you as an "you are the one using the ability". The healing ultra is broken, but if you and a teammate throw a nade at it everyone inside will die. The problem comes when you don't have those, because you have many reasons to use other util. As a team game the ultra makes sense, but I still think it is kinda broken. Not as much as what you think, but I do find it pretty annoying. You already talked about how to counter shields. No need to complain about it when there is a really hard counter to it. Easy to use hard counter. Shields kinda suck imo. Sniping is fine. Why? Because there are way too many abilities to counter them, and a straight up faction with 120 HP, so the sniper with really fast movement and scope speed (M44) isn't going to be able to kill them (the TAC is way too slow, which is why I think it is the worst sniper) even if they aren't looking at you. If your movement is good you are going to make things really difficult for your enemy, because you can have useful skills on top of that. Yes, you can use an M44 that deals 112 dmg, add an extra 5% to deal 118 dmg and use a cleaner so that the extra tic can instantly kill a Phantom, but then you have to play as a cleaner, which is better to rush and... "clean places", and, you still have to deal with everything the enemy team have. Unless your team is using their skills to help you get more kills instead of completing the objective, then you still are going to run into many issues. This is why snipers are rarely on the top and why the majority of people aren't using them. They are strong againts bad players, and snipers in this game are not nearly as strong as the AWP on CS 2. It's not even close. The reason why you bring up TTK is because you are trying to take gun duels againts snipers while praying that the other player is either too slow or misses his/her shot, which honestly screams "CoD players". The only people who believe a game can kill another are those who weren't playing many popular games before. Dota 2 didn't kill League Of Legends. WuWa didn't kill Genshin Impact. Final Fantasy XIV didn't kill WoW. Paladins didn't kill Overwatch, despite it being a much better game. Valorant didn't kill CS 2, despite it being exactly what players wanted. It did take players from it tho. Basically, XDefiant is here to stay. No game can kill a giant monster like CoD, but it is exactly what many players who left CoD wanted, and it is a pretty good game. It is a new casual shooter anyone can jump to and... have fun. When it comes down to how difficult or competitive they are, both XDefiant and CoD are the lowest you can go in terms of difficulty, specially if you use a controller. They are below what I consider casual. That is where they will compete, except XDefiant has a few more things we, people who play other shooters, wanted from CoD to. It will be that game I rarely jump to, but where I can have fun with any friends (even those who are bad or have such a lower rank than me that I can't play with then), relax and get some kills, and it will be the shooters many will choose instead of CoD. Maybe a few million players, but it is not going to take the entire CoD community. Actually, most people probably heard the words "from Ubisoft" and didn't even pay attention to it, or predicted it was going to flop and stuffs like that on their KZbin channels, and now that the game is being successful they are coping using Twitch numbers to say the game is dead. This situation we are living right now is no different from what you see on console wars, like when PlayStation fanboys were saying Starfield was a financial failure. It makes no sense. XDefiant was really successful, and a lot of people are getting into it. It is what it is.

about the bad netcode thing... it happened to me too, and I've looked into it a bit. the average receive rate from the server across a whole round of domination was 124Hz, and the average send rate to the server was 132Hz, but the min/max delta in XDefiant is huge, 85 packets/s for receiving traffic (min: 94 pps; max: 179 pps) and 113 pps for sending traffic (min: 85pps; max: 113 pps). this is consistently bad, as the standard deviation is very high; 15,6 pps for incoming traffic and 33,84 for outgoing traffic. for comparison, the outgoing traffic in Counterstrike 2 also has a pretty big min/max delta of 31 pps (min: 39; max: 70), but the standard deviation is only 1,5 pps, as the sendrate is pinned at 64 pps and only occasionally dropping, while in XDefiant it's constantly fluctuating inbetween the two extremes. i don't know if these huge fulctuations can explain the bad netcode, but I'm sure it does have an effect on it. combine that with a low server simulation rate, and overloaded hardware, and you have all the ingredients for some juicy "AAAA" netcode.

Most Paiks are rare to see as Mackay is miles better with his gadget, that and you always get pinged so really it doesn't matter who has wallhacks in that game. My thoughts are, its the most fun I've had in years playing an FPS online. But i agree with everything said here, game has a lot of problems and better lobbies wont carry it. A big reason people complain so much about bunnies is jumping absolutely desyncs you, hit detection takes a huge dive. When in a 1v1 jumping will severely curve the odds in your favor.

Its an ubisoft game. In division they matchmake you from USA to Asia and Europe and give both of you 40 ms. So its not required to be genious to see the problem here. They are the same servers

maybe for shit like Raids, Survival and other niche modes. Division always uses your current region to matchmake and never looks for other players in other regions. You need direct invites to get into other Regional Servers. The ping and delay is also noticable during combat. as for global chat, I assume it's just one comm server maintaining chat. There is a weird thing with the reticle where if you move your aim while firing, it won't go back to the original position. But if you fire and don't control recoil, it goes back to original position. This is a big part of what's making the aiming feel like you're fighting it and why micro adjustments feel weird.

The thing is that people are looking at Ubisoft as a savior from Activision. If anything ubi is worse, so this game is not, and probably will not, be the game that "kills" cod. They can "kill" the cod and/or make them re-think what they are doing with the competition, just like val did to cs. I absolutely agree about not balancing, and it is so far from being ideal, but I also understand that it takes time, but the fact that it takes several months/years to balance the stuff that other games encountered in the past is really concerning.

Exactly, the game JUST came out and it’s a change of pace from what horrible options people have now. At least the game is free and the devs are transparent and actively communicating with the players and giving answers to problems. It’s only preseason there has been more communication in this past few days than it has been in CoD and Battlefield for YEARS. Like you said, every game at launch has a bunch of issues that need to be fixed and that’s not just FPS games. Literally EVERY GAME. I find it in bad taste put XDefiants issues under a microscope, but then talk about BF2042 or any CoD since MW2019 like it had none of these issues. 2042 STILL has a huge anount of issues and was even worse at launch. That game was so awful they had to spend most of the time reworking/re-releasing maps. 2042 has hit registration issues, resets weapon setups, Ping issues, input issues, get shot around corners, attachment issues, unbalanced specialists, AND a bunch of vehicle sweats and sentry guns, robot dogs, controlled missiles and more. You don’t even need killstreaks to get any of that stuff either. Difference is, this game has devs that will fix issues and the game is free. I paid full price for 2042 at launch and it was so bad they started giving the game away for free and giving people their money back. If you enjoy those games then go play those. Nobody has forced anyone to play XDefiant.

My point is that even in Enders livestream he was comparing it to Battlefield and CoD but not mentioning those games have the same exact issues this one has, but this one is free and JUST came out. This game at the moment is like a 7/10 for most and for me a 7.5/10. The devs are also more in communication with the players than CoD and Battlefield have been in the past 5 years. This is a game that is a change of pace to what we currently have. All FPS games are currently stale and this game is something new and has promise with the new upcoming updates and content. 3 maps per season and new weapons is very promising. You don’t have to pay to win in this game either. He complained about the hit reg and abilities in this game, but CoD and 2042 have HORRIBLE hit reg to the point where almost every couple weeks 2042 has to “fix” hit registration and getting shot around corners. 2042 also has the wall hack ability, Turrets, Grappling hooks, Robot dogs, drones, and remote missiles that require NO KILLSTREAKS OR KILLS to use. He was complaining about the wall hack in this game, but you literally get the same thing in battlefield and at least you have more balanced specialists in this than in Battlefield. Everybody is using the same two specialists in Battlefield. CoD is just milking money out of everybody and it’sngood they have comp now because they can make their next games better and with more effort. Same thing like NBA 2k and NBA Live. When those games were out together 2k put more effort into their games and made much better games, but when Live left the scene 2k just released the same game over and over again for years and years. Same thing with Madden.

The Echelon class is broken by design … Passive ability: Not showing up on the minimap AT ALL. A Wall hack ability is always stupid strong, but what makes it extra powerful in this game is the fact that the ENTIRE ENEMY TEAM can see you, not just the guy who used this ability. If it was “just” him alone, it would be somewhat “balanced”. (As balanced as a wall hack ability possibly can be.)

I play with a mouse and keyboard. I was ready to throw my keyboard out the window with how bad much I hate some of the mechanics in this game. I dont think an fps game has ever triggered me more than this with just the netcode alone. It constantly feels like being shot through walls and dumping mags into enemies to no effect.

turning off crossplay makes the game entirely enjoyable, just longer wait times but much better hit reg and less shots behind walls, netcode isnt perfect but it helps alot yall!

Once the net code/de sync/hit reg/sprint to fire/ttk/weapon balancing are updated a bit more the game should run a bit more smoothly and fluid

Sprint to fire, ttk, and weapon balance is what makes XDefiant different than cod and the rest. Why would they change it? The game feels great besides the desync. And even that is being mistaken for wallbangs. Yes xdefiant has wallbangs and quite a few of them

Enders I noticed on your Streams that your ping is fluctuating between high 40’s to low 60’s in this game. I am aware you are in the east coast but I wonder where are these servers located. Any idea? Could it be possible you are connecting to a center US or even west datacenter? This could affect the netcode.

I hate to admit this but as far as balancing goes, this game is going to have to make some tough choices just like The Finals did. Spiderbot and Intel Suit are similar to the stun gun and recon senses in that game and now look today: recon senses was removed entirely from the game and stun gun was nerfed into the ground. Will Mark Rubin have the balls to do what Embark did? I’m not so sure.

The issue with the abilities regardless off the counters is that not only does it eat your slot and ppl can swap any time so countering doesn’t work the abilities are over powered, and only riot shield is fun to use. All of them have horrible execution on game design on a fundamental level. The game was very fun on day 1 but it’s bad immediately after the first couple hours which makes me sad. I do love the maps but the entire game needs an over Haul no amount of balance fixes core game design issues

Net code is a massive issue but something I haven't seen too many people talk about is how horrible the recoil system in this game is. If you find a head glitch spot with a sniper you'll win the gun fight against pretty much any other weapon in the game because of how sporadic the recoil is. And there's not really a tap firing bonus in this game so that doesn't help at all.

In my opinion as someone who has been sniping in fps games for almost 17 years it's not the 1 shot kill that makes them so good it's just everything else minimal movement penalties insanely fast ads speed and as far as I can tell no penalty to hip firing meaning even with no laser they shoot exactly where ur cross hair would be. I believe a good solution would be keep the ads speed nerf the movement and make snipers a 1 shot kill to the HEAD and not the upper body this would favor skilled players and would discourage shotgun sniping. Just my thoughts.

It's ridiculous how the only good online FPS games of at least the past 8+ years are Titanfall 2 and Quake, yet both of them are dead as fuck because they actually have a high skill gap and no cheesy bullshit that gets you free kills... it's like people are allergic to quality and instead want instant gratification in any game they pick up these days!

I mean sure it needs a polish and tweaking but its a live game so that will come with time after all it's only just come out. This would be an issue if it costs but it's free and more fun than any FPS I have played in a while. I haven't spent a single penny and I am very average at fps and find myself having fun and remaining top of the leader board and seeing wins consistently. Definitely doesn't need '"glazing" but I think this is a little harsh to make it out like it's this mid experience, haven't rushed to my council to jump into a multiplayer FPS in years

Games a brand new ip that just launched I’m not expecting it to be perfect. Net code needs to be fixed, snipers need flinch, some weapons need balancing ( more recoil/less etc) and yeah the spider or needs to run slower or somthing I hate that thing. Still tho I’m enjoying the game and I’m glad the devs are being vocal about stuff. Hope it finds its place in the fps community 🤙🏼

Flinch does exist, but the advanced sniper builds have attachments to reduce it. (changing that would probably be the first nerfing idea.)

I got silver at tac-50 lvl 85 almost gold and I think snipers are OP because they are extremely accurate, you can jump, run, slide and 90% of the time the shot will go where you are aiming It's as if there wasn't that COD penalty of losing accuracy while performing actions while aimed, I don't think the hitkill is the problem, maybe a nerf to aiming time, weapon weight and accuracy would be enough?

Hey, i played a couple Hours and can say i have the exact same Problems with the game. I would like to add that Bullet damage drop for smgs at a range of idk 20 meters is fucking insane. Who gives damage drops at range in this games. It makes zero sense. Yes you shouldnt be able to snipe someone with an smg, but fixing this issue with just giving smg range dmg drop?
