XDEFIANT SEASON 2.... Is It Enough? Highwaymid?

Unfortunately this season update was underwhelming. More bugs introduced, old bugs still there. Server stability issues especially in Bomb mode. Frame drops, stutters, worse hit reg, Delta-42 error consistently kicking me back to lobby. Optics missing reticles / red dots. Overall, I can’t see this season retaining players for more than a month. Usually new season updates make a game better not worse. I was forcing myself to play this last night. Ubisoft is hurting right now

I came, I reinstalled, I played, I uninstalled. I have no clue what they did but the "feel" of the game is just bad, it is like they turned off a paved road to a road that has been stripped to have new asphalt put down. It's just janky and the hit reg and dying around corners seem even worse and every gun fight just feels like it is forced 50/50 to compensate for the poor net code. I don't know what they did but was not good. The game is not dead, but it is really hurting and starting a death spiral. That why people get put into already in progress games, that why i see the same people over in over in match after match. that why some people now take 20 mins to find a game where it used to be almost instant. The biggest sign is that "something" isn't good for XD is for them to give away paid stuff for free. Free xcoins, free booster and to do it at just long on, not after 5 games, or a small challenge. That just screams desperation. Back to ironsight for now until the next patch to see what crap they break with that. I really want XD to succeed, but I am not sure any more.

for me the worst part about xdef will always be the hero shooter influence, it makes the game feel very generic and bland. apparently ubisoft has been going through really bad financial turmoil rn so maybe that's why xdef progress has not been great, the devs really are tryna make a tower outta pebbles.

When the netcode is solid, I'll come back to XDefiant. Not 'improved', not 'kind of better', not 'tolerable'. When it's solid, I'll reinstall. Either that, or literally remove the air-strafing. Because the jumping and air-strafing wrecks the already garbage netcode.

Only two lobbies i played earlier was full of slide to jump mid air direction switching sweats. So i got off. Installing Battlefield 4 since it's backwards compatible and i have gamepass.

Its sad but there is really not enough weapons for me. I'm an assault rifle guy and there is almost none in the game, and they are all crap. Until they add something like the HK433, HK416 or at least the G36, I'm not playing the game... I was so hyped for XDefiant, then took forever, hitreg is still hit or miss AND the weapons are... lacking to say the least... maps looks ok tho

For me personally XDefiant ran better than cod on pc for me I'm not getting constant packet burst and I haven't experienced the bad net code as much as other people have and i think it does some things better than cod but overall its not something that can truly win me over

After playing the BO6 beta and then Xdefiant right after it made me feel like we need a new Quake or Unreal Tournament game. The BO6 lobbies feel all the same play wise while Xdefiant feels like there is more randomness to the lobbies. I like the speed of Xdefiant and the gun mechanics of Old COD. Competition is the key to a better future of FPS games. I think the genre needs some change to avoid everything getting too stale.

R6 had a season where they fixed the game back when the game was utter broken, Xd is probably a game where by s3/4 the game should be good and it can pull its players with the content they have added by then

Gil I finally gave this shit a chance and yea I got shit on but I saw myself improving the gameplay is consistent with the packet burst I get on cod I can deal with the net code issues along with consistency and on top of that I don't have to play the same dudes using the most broken shit in the game

Both games have unacceptable performance issues. Cod could easily be fixed. Their rigged, predatory matchmaking got too much garbage in there

Idealistically, the jumping mechanic would be similar to that of the original CoD games. I'm getting tired of bunny hoppers. Also, if I were Ubisoft, I would regularly check the anti-cheat system just to make sure everything is in order. I don't get as many cheaters here as I do in MW3, but it still does happen.

Game defintely feels alot better. I still run across a few nerds abusing the mid air strafing still, but it happens a lot less. Net coding still needs work but still better. I don't know, the content still lacking as well.

I completed 2 everyone seasonal MWIII battle passes in the same time that it took me to get to level 42 on the XDefiant Battle pass. I just can't do it anymore. It takes way too long to level EVERYTHING up in this game and we get so little content and reward system to begin with.

How did you not hear that spiderbot I have no idea he is very loud now and actually is worth to mention the audio has vastly improved . Finally it make sense to wear headphones. I agree the content is too little to run 3 months is not sustainable. Also I think the game need mid season battle pass update

I tried last night and deleted game after this. In 5 minutes i had 7 times spider jump on me and after i survived that i got shoot by a 2 turrets from different angles and i said to my self fuck this game. They are just adding irritating things after each other.

Playing on M&K, the crossplay & input based match making options is a scam. Yes I have crossplay on & IBMM off still get all M&K lobbies, watched Nytefall stream yesterday & he has crossplay on, IBMM off & he gets all controller lobbies. I dont mind playing all M&K lobbies but the match making is slower, he got 2 games while I was still waiting for 1. I knew seaason 2 was going to be mids AF so expectations were low but these matchmaking times are taking the wind out of the sails for me. Switch to controller which I suck at now lol & boom instant games again smh.

No lag for me, i do think this game is just boring. We can say what we want about cod but having score streaks and such makes the gameplay more dynamic and makes my kills feel more worth it I guess. I don’t want this game to fail but I did stop playing it as I just got bored

im done with this game and its toxic community. id much rather have a smoke then these stupid powers. the devs are full of it with talking and doing nothing and sure things are coming but when another 3 months from now lol i feel they said that just to help the shills from crying cause we all know once season 3 comes it will be all the way at the end of the season or delayed like they do all the time and now its been months from release and come on they had their time cause you think im coming back to this over a year later cause now it works lol nope way to long for that crap. they should have never released this game like this and now their community is acting like thats ok when its not ok from other games just cause its free cause once you buy just 1 thing no matter how much its not free to play anymore lol what gets me is i was a fan and played the closed beta was there day 1 and stayed most of season 1 time i had enough with everything keep braking and once i say something its oh get good or your a cod fan boy lol so what their saying is i should get good at broken mechanics till it gets fixed then learn the right way to play once its fixed and shut up and like it lol theres no real casuals playing anymore, its just the sweats and their shotguns banging from across the map with their spiderbots lol 1 map lol ok great stuff devs lol sorry about the long text just real like your take and content my guy.
