I own XDm Elites, Glocks, Ruger, and Beretta. To me the XDm is the best gun I’ve ever owned, including what I’ve sold.

I bought the XDM at $650. The FN is about $800ish and I didn't get approval from my wife. I am sure both are good weapons.

I don't get approval from my wife either just satire... Obviously I have lots of Firearms these both are phenomenal guns... These are one of them will be leaving my collection... the Springfield Armory is a better deal because there is no need for an upgrade on the trigger.. And has a lower starting point to begin with.. Get an apex striker. I love my 509 tactical n my 509 tactical compact, but man I love xdm. Especially the elite line up. I'm ordering an xdm tactical tomorrow. Have a good Xmas everyone. ✌🏼

It really wasn't about price comparison it was about feature comparison... I love both of them and have no plans of getting rid of either one... But the FN does offer things that Springfield Armory does not like a stainless steel slide Pens and parts.. Springfield Is is just regular weapons steel.. Is although the coating is very robust my original Springfield Armory with over 50000 rounds through it.. And the finish is still impeccable...

OK, a few things. Please don't assume only "guys" will be watching your videos. My wife actually came across this to show me your posted video. I'm lucky enough to own both the Springfield Armory XD-m Elite 4.5 Tactical OSP as well as the FN 509 Tactical as you do. You said that, initially, the 509 Tactical "has a leg up" because it has an additional magazine. Well, my Springfield cost me $605 before tax and my FN 508 was $865 before taxes, both purchased on sale. That's $260 for an extra magazine for the FN! Plus, when one registers w/ Springfield for their "lifetime" warranty online, you get a one-time 50% off deal for more magazines. I purchased two (2) more 22 round mags for $48. So, total spent was only $653 for the Springfield. Looking through tall, completely blacked-out co-witness sights is difficult for most shooters, even with master's experience as you do. The rear sight for my FN was much too wide as well (mine aren't blacked-out), but it was also harder to shoot (I hated the sights!), but shooting up an incline with tall sights, you're likely were just aiming lower than you thought with the FN. I also shot low as a result until I put on my optic...and they are definitely meant for optics. I have Vortex Venoms on both of mine and both are tack-drivers once the red-dot were sighted in! I love both of mine, but like the META trigger just a little better...but NOT better than my Canik TP9 Elite Executive. That trigger is insane! And lastly, consider not putting your handgun under your armpit to check to see if you have a round chambered. I know you know both have loaded chamber indicators. @Anyx E I have to say I agree. I didnt think male when he said guys. We all say guys now a days for both sexes. That was hyper sensitive response to the guy making a video. I do however agree with his point on the magazine and price difference. Paying 250-300$ extra for the FN for one extra mag is not a one up for FN. By the way I love FN and own one. But this Springfield is hard to beat from what I’m seeing.
