xDuoo XD05 Pro - Portable and Powerful. And a decent DAC

Thanks for the great review. One thing that your review covers that I can't recall other any other reviews, and that is the filters on the DAC modules. While you didn't cover in great detail at least you covered it. It gives me something to play with. BTW, I just got my XD05 Pro today. I'm charging it at the moment, so I haven't experienced the sound.

Thanks for another thorough review. I went with the iFi Gryphon for portable listening. It’s very similar in features, and coincidentally, I even set it up with a set of orange Chubby brand cables that look exactly like the ones in the accessory kit here. I think the Gryphon could probably replace a lot of desktop setups and I’ve seen other reviews that compare it favorably to the Mojo Chord. The XD05 looks like it was designed to compete in the same category.

Honestly, I don't think so. You'll have the power but as for the sound improvement, it depends what you are coming from.

Honestly I mostly game with my equipment. I'm really not sure if the XD05 would make any difference for gaming. Planning to use it as a DAC only also.
