Your Channel is my favorite on KZbin. I'm Canadian, but I used to live in Lampang Thailand for 6 years. I'm back in Canada, but I get my Thai Lao fix by watching your channel. I see you went to Lampang once for a night on a road trip in Thailand.

Hey Chris.. yeah, Lampang was a great little surprise, beautiful area down by the markets. Wish we could've spent more time there. Will get back there one day and explore it more. Cheers mate ✌

Chris Tippett I was stationed at Ko Kha AS for 6 months in 73-74. Lovely place. Getting fried banana and going to the movies. Loy Krathong festival and Thai dancing with the girls on stage. So much fun. To be 21 again.

Wow! Love that cave music. Sounded like bats rubbing their wings to mate. The bugs like your light. Nice vlog Todd. Thanks for taking us along. It was a long trip and a little bumpy but the reward at the end was amazing. Thanks again and you and Neenee be safe. I hope she ok.

Another excellent vlog mate. Both of you are so easy to watch. Xe Bang Fai Cave looks cool and enjoying it alone before the big tourist change comes is even better. I bet the tickets won't be 10,000kip forever, time will tell. From my experience with Lao road making, the new road will be a few years away yet. I went to Konglor Cave 2 years ago and that was really good but it has gone down the tourist path. Big entrance, carpark, entrance fees, rubbish, every day tourists etc. I continue to sit on the fence - keeping it as a hidden gem and saving the environment or produce local tourism, jobs and income?
@NowinLao4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nathan, appreciate the feedback mate. It's definitely a very fine balancing act to get stuff like that right....environment vs economy😐

Thanks.. We may meet sooner than you think. Do the car ferries still operate in the wet season on those islands that have them so we can cross to the western side of the Mekong? Plan on coming down next month and visiting. Do you recommend it in the wet season?

Arrh mate!!! That's priceless. Beer Lao on me just for that Alien bit.... Kinda wish it was all hidden and do want the country a secret. Partly, as I'm aware of what happened to Thailand...anyways, great vid. Love them.

Extraordinary...serious extraordinary. !! such a great video to equal any " professional Attenborough " production, I was with you todd at the top and yes it was a " bit trippy ".... You must be very pleased with this work and of course i Liked it..... Long may you keep the required enthusiasm for vlogging ( hate these new words ) and i allowed ads to run 30 sec for u r commission..... Thank You Both

Man... I seriously want to go back to that cave. It was massive and we only explored a tiny section of it. Thank you so much for the kind words and support enduring the ads. Much appreciated.. it really does help. Thank you 🙏

If I am not mistaken the name of the cave means "fireworks sparkles cave". If there was more lights I bet the place would twinkle like a firework.
@NowinLao4 жыл бұрын
You know what...you're probably right. Neenee is keen to go back because she never really got a good look at what i did. When we do, i'm gonna see if i can hire some bigger lights. It was an unworldly landscape in there man....would love to see it lit up

“What is that?” I suspect that it is the early stages of a stalagmite which has been fenced off to enable it to form. Give it a 1000 years it should be a sizeable formation! The light shining through? - Interesting.

Filling the boats with water may be to keep them stable but would guess the main reason could be to stop the bat shit from setting . Footage in the cave didn't come out to bad at all . The whole trip has been highly enjoyable .
@NowinLao4 жыл бұрын
You know, the theory about keeping them clean of bat shit sounds pretty solid to me. Thanks, i'm glad you enjoyed 👍

Hey my friend, well done! The river is like a little jewel,,the drone shots were outstanding. As ive mentioned before, i think, caves are not my favorite places, but this cave , i might have been able to handle. Those caverns were magnificent, wild and interesting rock formations. The color of the water and a couple spots where the blue/green color had leached out, gave me the idea that there may be copper deposits there. Lets hope the chinese dont figure that one out and begin their usual campaign of rape and pillage. Places like this absolutely , without one doubt need to be preseved and mineral deposits be damned. In New Mexico, there is a National Park called Carlsbad Caverns, ive never been there but this cave reminded me of pictres ive seen of it. Cave or not , it was an amazing place. If there was no rain forcast,, id like to camp on that white sand. By the way , did you ever figure out why they sank some of the boats? You worked your ass off for this one. Thank you for that. And thanks to Neenee for being a trooper and sending you up the trail when she got sick. Ttyl ,, Marlon7
@NowinLao4 жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly Marlon...would love to spend a few days in there exploring. It was like a different world in there man... No, never found out about the boats. Another commenter had a good theory...maybe they're kept submerged to keep them clean of bat shit. They'd be easier to empty of water than they would be to clean off the shit.🙄
@supraman12504 жыл бұрын
I have to admit, you are courageous exploring the cave all by yourself. Instead of bat sh!t. It would have my own ‘sh!t’ in my pants.
