Hearing these songs really shows how important Kevin and Arion were to that original 3EB sound that we all grew to love. Kevin's tone is so unique and has so much texture. So great to hear it again. I'll always wish that we could have had more than two albums from the original band, but hearing this is a such a joy and brings back so many memories. Great work, guys.

GATSaInT T its pretty well documented that SJ incorporated the band and took all shares and all the rights to the music. Everyone else has just become a contract musician at that point. When you get involved with people to make music of this caliber its an incredibly intimate thing. I imagine they felt like brothers in the early years. To learn that someone you worked so closely with has robbed you of your creative contribution and financial stake in the band and music...i cant even imagine. SJ is a shill and a coward who got lucky and played dirty. Such is business, but this is the true art behind 3eb, something SJ will never know anything about or come close to again.

Listening to this, it feels like the current 3EB guys are playing this material as if reading from a song book. Musically, it is correct, but Kevin and Arion play it the way they know it, which was the way they wrote it. It incorporates so much more energy and emotion, the passion is there. It is disappointing to know we all missed out on the original 4 members making more than 2 albums together. And the ending to "How's it Gonna be?" was awesome. Don't give up the fight for your music.

Technically the original band wasn’t the same band that recorded the first 2 albums. Multiple people were in the band before what you refer to as the “original 4”. That being said, the 4 you are talking about were definitely the best of the long list of members.

Out of The Vein is the last "Third Eye Blind" album and the rest are Stephan Jenkins Band side project. That's how it is, regardless of name. Third Eye Blind stopped existing after Out of The Vein.

This is truly incredible and shows just why the band were never the same after Kevin left. What Kevin could do on the guitar is just what made 3EB incredible on those first 2 albums. With Arion too this performance is as close as we as fans are going to get to the TRUE Third Eye Blind. As a sole guitarist Kevin provides a wall of sound that not many guitarists out there can do and that's not even touching the surface as to Kevin's contribution as a songwriter to the band either. I actually think Dopamine is actually 3EB's best album since Kevin left, but they will never reach the heights of when Kevin was part of the band. It's actually devastating Jenkins, Kevin and Arion aren't making music together just because of how good they are. I even sometimes wonder if the original line up could ever get back together despite all the hell Jenkins put the band through? If bands like the Stone Rose and Gun n Roses could put their differences aside surely anyone can? Life is too short. If only Kevin and Arion could come to the UK!!?

Honestly, I don’t really care much for involving my opinion in the breakdown of the band and its members over the years. No one should care about it anyways since I wasn’t there or involved. What I DO know is that I will always always cherish each original member individually and as a whole for the first album especially. Nothing stays exactly the same and evolution, whichever way it goes is inevitable. I adore the sounds of Cadogan, of Salazar, of Hargreaves, and Jenkins all so much for their irreplaceable uniqueness and talent. Life rolls along and nothing and no one is perfect. I’m just thankful for that moment in time, when the stars aligned and still listen to 3eB today. ❤️

it’s so strange watching this i’m finally beginning to love it. basically i’ve been a massive third eye blind fan for about 7 years. i’ve always favoured watching the new line up due to jenkins mostly and didn’t really give these guys a chance cus the main voice was obviously lost, but there’s no denying it... cadogen was supremely talented and the singer is great also. it’s mad cus the new line up (who i’ve seen twice) really do sound great. but I’m now finally admitting that nothing would top the orginal line up

I love third eye blind. From the beginning to now. I love their entire catalog despite what members were present. Stephan Jenkins is such an amazing song writer. Ive seen them 4 times now. They have amazing shows now. XEB, at first I rolled my eyes when I seen this but after watching I gotta admit, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing them if they came to my area. They sound good, lead singer needs to know his limits though.
