For your PL add Foe:Farthest - Steal on the Slimes. That negates the "pushed into the corner of the room and nothing respawns" issue, and it means you get to run over and you get some decent gil for when you return too.

I remember I did a guide for Negalmuur Idle LevelUp 1o+ years ago. I would add a couple of important things. First one, add steal, you can get crossbows and sellt hem for 1650 Gil each. And second, once you feel comfortable cast haste on the boss, he will attack fawster but also summon more often ;)

For those of you using the second method who just don't like the somewhat inconsistent charge skill and are going to level up more than just three characters, I recommend equipping your Time Battlemage with a Turtleshell Choker, which lets you cast magic by expending gil rather than MP. Then, equip any party members not currently getting any EXP with Cat-ear Hoods, which turns LP into gil. Break normally costs 14 MP, which comes out to 896 gil per cast. You'll be fully reimbursed per cast/kill as long as the sum of all the characters' levels who you have equipped with Cat-ear Hoods is at least 180. The "Channeling" augment licenses will help reduce this price quite a bit: Time Battlemage has two such licenses that are easily accessible, and having both will cut down the MP cost of break to 11 MP, or 704 gil, which can be covered by characters wearing Cat-ear Hoods whose combined levels equal at least 141. Since the Time Battlemage will have to be on the field for the entirety of the grinding, normal-rate EXP due to the lack of an equipped Embroidered Tippet should be perfectly fine to get them to max level. Hope that this helps in some way.

There’s a way you can bypass the corner as well, you can get rid of all of the weapons, and set a character to attack furthest it will do 0 damage but the character will walk around the entire screen attacking the furthest enemy from them so they always pass through the middle.

Since I just started replaying.... If your doing the flan farm have your tank use steal on the furthest enemy away. This ensures that they always try to work their way near the middle of the room when the numbers thin up.

Ive found that the MOST efficient late game NON afk farm is the undeads in the great crystal just before Mark XII, theres about thirty to forty per room sometimes and just moving between zones or warping between platforms generally respawns them. They give over 2k xp a kill and you can oneshot them with an Excalibur or Holy lance. You can go from 90 to 99 with 3 characters in less then an hour without tippets easy

Another tip for the negalmuur fight is to use sword users or anyone close range as party lead as they will 9/10 walk into a loot bag which refreshes mp for your healer

The disadvantage to slimes being restricted to a time mage being in the party can be fixed with negalmuur. with a lvl 40-50 the ghosts do 0 dmg, and equipped with a ribbon there's no threat of instant death, and out regens any dmg (allows you to kill it solo, for the last member who didn't make it into the 2 slime groups (5 people)

if a character doesnt have steal there is another option if the know expose shear or any of those moves use that on the farthest away and your character will run around casting that on all the mobs especially the new ones that pop up

Idk if anyone has said this but an easy alternative to enlisting a "tank" is have mirror mail and have your time battle mage also a red battle mage for raise if not have a healer with raise as a gambit. mirror mail can be found as a uncommon drop from mirrorknights in the fey wood walk of stolen truth and walk of dancing shadow, a 25 chain is at least one if not more.

I should add for new people the fey wood is extremely deadly to unprepared individuals not only is the map static to the point of being unreliable, the recommended farm lvl for players is 35 but is doable at 20 with good tactics, good directional bearings and pull methods. know your limit and run if you must.

The Jelly grinding can be made better by killing a few rooms manually before setting up the AFK, that way instead of getting the occasional item or two, you can get items almost every time, as well as HP/MP restorations as well as shell to keep poison off your characters. You also don't need to charge MP as often/ at all, so you grind slightly more efficiently.

I am a bit late to the party, but still want to say this regarding the slime strategy (PC version). Don't use gambits, that make you walk around. As in the video mentioned, the slimes push you. I did this method once and the slimes pushed me out of the room. While standing in the corner, I only had half of them respawn, but that was perfectly fine for a permanent kill.

For Jellies, you should be be able to go with Embroidered Tippets if you take the weapons off your guys. At this point your characters should be hitting one another for 0s when barehanded, so Confuse isn't that big of a deal. You can always keep the Bowline Sash on the healer for safety measures, but I don't think it's necessary.

Definitely something I’m going to do when I get everything together. I played this game and started it quite a bit and never finished it. I rented it. Then bought it. I got really far at the one temple or tomb after you speak to that leader who is sleep but he woke up to talk to us in the snow mountains. That was back on PS2. Now I have the Zodiac edition for PS4 and I’m going to get back there. I just finished the Tomb of Raithwal early this morning. Definitely going to implement these things because I played this so many times being overpowered isn’t a problem for me. Thanks a lot!

I removed poison in a gambit. Also make sure to unequip and brutal weapons your allys might have on that can inflict status or ko. Makes confuse brutal. I also put regen on leader just to be safe and bubble.

I assume since the point this video was made (4 years ago) and now there's been some kind of patch to this. Whilst the basic principle works and is still the same i've recently started playing through the game again and opted for the Negalmuur method only to find that there a ton of new status possibilities that can be inflicted meaning it's not as AFK as it once was. I've noticed that as well as the normal doom and confuse that Negalmuur or his cronies are inflicting disable and break which effects this set-up massively. I've yet to seen anyone make a recent remodel of this tactic based on these changes but with a more refined gambit set up it can be made good again but it's probably not worth the investment vs the jelly method.

I found this while trying to find solutions to the 13th.... the one you need 10 espers to challenge. Anywhoozle, you came up as a "solution" video, and well, I learned not to give anyone a weapon who isn't constantly casting, aka, don't leave a freaking Grand Mace on Ashe or Kumbha on Vaan, since I think characters at that point can only cast and block at that point. Either way, leveling them because 1) I am incapable of fighting the superbosses atm due to 2) because Ashe/Basche are both lower than my main team of death, meaning I just can't complete that last phase of the boss I mentioned since no one else can cast unaspected magic, aka Scourge, Flare, Shock, and can't kill the damned thing!!!!!! @.@ so thank you, hopefully I'll have my Ashe and Basch in fighting shape soon, not that Basche is much more than a leveling device atm, because he ain't going into combat, he's just Haste-pre-buffing and leveling everyone else.... but hey, at least Ashe is gonna see some usage again, I've considered Fran for the fight too, only issue is she is tsnkier than Vaan while he's Knight and she is Foebreaker, but Vaan does way more damage with Genji Gear than she can.... sadness... at least I don't have to dodge 200 bolts of lightning for the most powerful "normal" weapon in the game. As-in, not counting the invisible ones, nor the mace that does actually have a model and is just unlisted.

For future readers know that the three characters you plan on leveling up have to have at least 3200 hp for this to work. My first run through I had 2700hp and died after a minute.

I read in GameFaqs that Vanish(ga) is also effective for keeping the slimes respawning. I am yet to try this out myself, but I am only leveling to 99 for Yiazmat, already killed Omega MK XII at party average of 86.

Gambit: Self MP < 10% Charge. On the Negalmuur method, it's also possible to get MP restoration from the monster drops after a large chain is built.

There is that ghost monster in great crystal area which keeps on multiplying itself when it's dying. Maybe with the right set of gambit you can exploit that as well.

Throw Mirror Mail on everyone or the Ruby Ring and take all their weapons off. Negates the Berserk status bc they do no damage and Reflect negates Poison spell. I ran that setup for an 8 hour AFK and they lost basically no health. The only heal gambit I set up was Ally:

I started trying the slimes part with the Switch version just an hour ago, max battle speed and x4 speed active. Still going strong! I had my 'tank' character set with self>decoy as his first gambit, and foe:furthest>Steal as his last. He wanders around the room stealing from the slimes since they shift around so much and then it drags my lead (the healer) so it keeps the spawns going. and now we're going to get some gil from items and possibly more teleport stones cause they've been hard to find.

this is grinding spot early on game. easiest way is buy fira at fran's home then cast fira on these flans they die in no time. don't kill other enemies when spawning them again nor touch save crystal

Lvl 40 with as many mirror mails and shields as possible. If you're still losing health with a mirror mail on tho, use the next best armor you have and set someone else up with a cura gambit so you can heal that party member. I also set up gambits for "attack ally if status confused" and put a tourmaline on my time mage so they never get poisoned and never waste time under confusion. With a white mage handling the healing of the weaker members

NoRussianma if you're talking about the second option of farming the area is after the dawnshard main quest. If i were you just slowly make your way leveling up. I did Dustia farming at level one and now i'm level 53 and my members are also around my level.

On the PS4 it doesn’t work. When you go back to the Stilshrine their are way to high levelled reapers in the main room that will kill you before you can get to the room. You might say that I should level up more, that’s what I’m trying to do

If you have a disc copy of the game, for the love of god *don't* leave this to keep on going for more than 2 hours. Woke up this morning to see the results and had to leave the house. When I got back home the PS4 showed up an error code multiple times while trying to start the game, and when I took the disc out there were a *bunch* of very bad scratches on the edge of the disc, pretty much making it unreadable.

yup, and another one I found today is in the Zertinan Caverns. Invitation of Hersey ( Westersand Entrance). Just need to find one more and then we got enough info for a guide lol.

There is a mode after you beat the trial mode which keeps you at level 1. It's called New Game -.

Showing your setup on screen would have been way more informative. Just looked at your link was terrible I don't ever know what your abbreviations mean, to follow what you have said for number 1 is only for people that think like you. Much better to just to show the setup in video. Why you didn't is weird.
