Saint Pepsi/Skylar Spence's sampling technique is underrated. he rearranged the lyrics of the Michael Jackson song while still keeping the drum rhythm intact

I also think part of the lofi aspect in the original Saint Pepsi track comes from the quality of the upload he used. I’ve noticed that’s how a lot of vaporwave songs get their lofi sound in the first place, from the (now) 12 year old KZbin upload of the song they sampled and I think Enjoy Yourself is no exception. Great vid btw, always glad to get a new upload from you :D

I agree! I believe the samples they used we're low quality and that's what originally gave it that low-fi sound along with slowing it down. You won't get the same texture using a high quality sound without manipulating it. And thanks 😀

Absolute king. Automating the reverb and delay effects is such a clever idea and it really adds to the whole "bouncy" and lofi feel of the track.

Pretty sure automated filter effects are on the original as well. They’re subtle but there. Putting them on the drum hits might be ED’s idea though.

i was completely obsessed with this song back in 2019, i used to remake it everyday just for the hell of it

Woah I love the difference between the version without effects to the version with the lofi mixing I’m definitely gonna try implementing the wet high end with dry compressed low end cause it’s sounds like a world of a difference

Been following your musical journey on bandcamp for awhile, had no idea you had a KZbin. Quickest sub of my life for the vaporwave fix

I make amateur vaporwave and fashwave through Audacity, and it does not sound nearly as good as this. So first of all, thank you so much for this extremely helpful tutorial. For this, I owe you a sub and a like. Please make more tutorials, for vaporwave techniques and and tutorials. You are an extremely smart person, you can tell by your voice that you are a very confident personality as well. You deserve a lot of extra credit. Thank you so much.

@@sparkleeangel Well to be honest, if this is what that is about for you, politics rather than music... That is really sad and desperate. I do my own thing, thanks. I am actually a salaried musician on external places, I am way more talented than just fruityloops editing. So trust me, none of this hurts my feelings whatsoever. Btw you are very salty. Have fun with your 3 subscribers.
