Thank you SO MUCH for this. I know people say EN dub is good, but to be honest I can't stomach some of the EN voices. And don't get me started on the decision to rename every Agnian Hero even though Agnus is obviously inspired by Japanese culture. Japanese audio is just right for me.
@hannaplays69782 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late late response, Zuz Ana. Yeah, EN dub actors did a really good job for this game. But.. then again, the original language is Japanese. How can you beat the original 😉

To be honest I love to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on Japanese dub version better than English dub version, I like Noah and the others speak Japanese on English subtitles, I like Mio, Sena, and Eunie cute voices of Japanese and Noah, Lanz, and Taion sound cool voices of Japanese, and also I don’t like British drama curse language.

After thinking Japanese for Xenoblade 2 was the far superior dub even after playing the entire game in English, I have to say I like the English version better. Some moments are just done better and feel better to me. At the end of Chapter 5, Noah has a softer voice in English that I think goes better with the atmosphere and emotion of the scene. In that same scene, Taion’s grunt(?) is very weak compared to the English version. I also don’t like how high pitched Mio’s voice is in the Japanese dub. Also, a Xenoblade game ain’t a Xenoblade game to me without those sweet, sweet European accents. I just adore them so much. So, thank you for listening to my opinion on which dub I think is better.

Yeah, English Dub Team did a really good job on this one 👍
@soliquidsnake3990 Жыл бұрын
Nah, Noah's VA is vastly better in JP and has a lot more emotion in the emotional scenes. Cutscenes were tailord for the JP VAs and it shows. There are so many characters in English that sound like they do not fit with their voices. Shania is a big one. JP voice for her is incredible. I am a fan of the main cast for the dub, but it does not compare a single bit to the Japanese voices. Kinda wierd to come into a JP voices cutscene vid and put in this opinion. Just as bad as someone going into the English one to say that the JP one is better.
@legend510_ Жыл бұрын
@@soliquidsnake3990 I wouldn’t describe it as “vastly” better tbh. Both are very good imo, but I personally like English better. I agree with Shania, but her voice in English is pretty good too. Only VA I can’t stand in the English is Ghondor’s. Her JP VA is so much better. Also, I don’t find it weird to come into the JP dub comment section and compare parts of it to the English dub when I played with the English dub.

I am a guy who loves English dubs in JRPG games like Nier Automata, SMT IV, Persona 5, Tales of Arise and Cold Steel but oh my God, i cannot stand dubs of Xenoblade games with Xenoblade 2 having worst of the worst voice acting. While Xenoblade 3 dub is not as bad as Xenoblade 2, it's still awful with some silly cussing words.
