I know this is four years late, but I think that's exhaust. If I remember correctly, the quest that gives you it's blueprint was largely about how it would simply generate too much heat using conventional materials. So I imagine it's done sort of venting

So, in case anyone stumbles upon this video and thinks, "Holy crap these are weak why bother?" They are much better when built around and at max level. With my lvl 60 Flameshot, on Mastema (with Amadusias armor) I am hitting for about 500k a tick, if they resist the fire res down, and it hits 3 times. Keep in mind that I have no augments for my skell, and the only modification I have done to it was swap the armor. I don't even know why I chose flameshot. I normally hate sniper rifles and fire damage, and yet I chose a fire sniper rifle for my skell lol. Maybe I Just wanted something drastically different from my normal skills for my robot. Either way though, assembling that rifle, then dropping the payload is fucking metal.

I would love to have more of X, but I think the vast quantity of affinity quests and side quests already seem good enough. Hell, it's one of the few games (but the only open-world one) where I actually give a crap about the side quests because of how engaging they are. But yes, the grind is annoying, specially without a guide. There's a ton of mechanics, thechniques and stats not explained to the player and you can get stuck in grind limbo if you don't know what and where to grind. Take me an example, only now on my second playthroug that I watched some guides and discovered that the Potential stat increases your arts damage, and it can get pretty broken when you have it really high + overdrive.

I'm fine with them saving the story for an even better sequel game, but the game totally would be an amazing port. Easing the grind would be nice. Maybe just removing the main game limiter on reward tickets would be good, cause I was locked at 99 for my cap for like 100 hours and then suddenly, when I beat the game, boom, 9999 cap. I would've naturally gotten so many of those during the campaign if my cap wasn't so low, it really felt like it added unnecessary grind to have not been able to get the rewards I would've earned during the main campaign and then needing them for parts for post-game

They're customizable in that you can choose what weapons you want on it (most of the time) and its color scheme, but unlike Armored Core, the "body parts" you get are just for stats and don't in any way change the way it'll look, plus you can only equip certain parts based on their weight class

you can choose more than one, tbh. all of them take up at least two slots, and they're only for the back/shoulder slots, but most of them are either back, or either shoulder weapons. you could go extreme physical melee damage, have G piledriver and deus crusher at the same time, it'd take up both back and shoulder slots, respectively, but you CAN have both. they both have phys res down, and deus has phys dmg ip and attack up, too. could drill an enemy from behind, then finish with deus. deus even has ultrafuana slayer. iirc zenith is a nice one superweapon only thing, since it can ignore resistances.

I'm pretty sure each super weapon has its own equip slots, so you'll be able mix and match some. Definitely won't be able to equip more than 3 or 2 at a time

yeah, that's actually the only super weapon that you can obtain from a quest. The affinity mission is "Two peas in a pod" it requires lvl 47 and the flight module installed. It can be found in the barracks

Could you go into detail for some of the Super Weapons like What Debuffs they inflict and how many slots they take up? I know the Hyper Railgun is Super OP (it can one shot most super bosses) and it's just a dual slotted backweapon. I was wondering if that was the case with Six Cannons or does it take both Shoulder and Back Slots?

+DriftSlave89 The Six Cannon is a beam elemental damage weapon. So naturally, it inflicts the Beam Resistance down debuff. Does more damage when Morale Level (was called Soul Stage in the Japanese version) is 1 or more. And yes, it uses up BOTH shoulder and back weapon slots.

+Kashane Gayle The Deus-Crusher has the bonus dmg to bosses so thats the most viable since most of the time your using a skell, its probably a boss since the level cap of a player is 60 and they are up to 99. That said, you can have up 2 super weapons if one takes a back slot and 1 takes the shoulder slot. Combination wise, its actually based off your soul voices (the thing that you sync with your partner) more. If for example, you have elma, you can get backstab soul voices which gives you like, 100% more dmg if you hit them in the back which will make a drill pile more effective than a hexacannon or whatever its called in the english version. Personally, I prefer the gravity sword because they have a passive that give increased melee attacks so my scythe does more dmg.

Besides, I'm allmost 200 hours into the game and I have completed allmost all affinity quests and quests in general, and I still have no idea how augments and overclock works in the game. x'DD

+Cell Eater The (absolutely no doubt) best skell to farm with, is Masterma White Reaper equipped with 2 Multi Rak ME 40-60 on the shoulders. Built six times apendage breaker XX and slot it and bam u shoot and the monster is naked. Now add treasure sensor and ur farming god is rdy to go. Nice bonus: Breaking parts refills fuel, so u will never run out. ^^
