I like to think Memory Space also acts as a memory from Alvis. When he talks to Shulk directly after he's shot in the back by Dickson he goes there. Very similarly to when Rex was stabbed in the back by Jin at the beginning of 2 and he goes to the memory of Elysium where he first meets Pyra. Obviously, Alvis is confirmed to be apart of the Trinity Processor so it makes sense for the scene Shulk and Alvis talk together to be set in Memory Space because it's from Alvis' memory.

Alvis and Shulk's relationship very directly parallels Rex and Pneuma's. Look at their introductory conversations; the script is literally identical. Alvis grants Shulk power via performing a blade special (Monado Purge), directly paralleling the Burning Sword scene, not to mention the death scenes you mention. The Monado's own development of power through its stages even parallels Pneuma's, what with Monado/Pyra -> Monado II/Mythra -> True Monado/Pneuma. I find it really interesting.

So this theory is saying that he is in memory space cuz he returned to the bionis? Did shulk actually die? I assumed that zanza and dickson were half lying since shulk is alive after zanza frees himself. I never fully understood this part of the story. Like did he actually die or was he spared with little of his life force in ose tower

@OCracks mehh i always hoping it wasn't something like this. I thought that maybe fiora and shulk were on the brink of death and before they died zanza and meyneth took them as a vessel and keeping them alive and slowly healing them overtime. Similar to pyra sharing her life force with rex.

@@xerox2678 In Xenoblade, there are 3 components to a person. The mind, the body, and the soul. Shulk's soul was absorbed with the others in Ose Tower, and remembered in Memory Space. Zanza's soul, which was sealed in Ose Tower (as or with the Monado, a physical manifestation of a soul), becomes Shulk's life force. However, Zanza's mind remains in Prison Island along with Arglas's body. After being released though, all of Zanza is together again residing within Shulk, and he just needs to take over Shulk's mind. However, this proves more difficult than anticipated, thanks to the intervention of certain third parties, so Dickson needs to get his hands dirty... It's a topic of a couple future videos.

@@ParadigmShulk So if Shulks soul was completely absorbed when Zanza took over how did he live after getting shot when Zanza emerged? Was it cuz he still had his mind similar to how Arglas was living without Zanzas soul? If so then how can the spirit be considered the life force if you can live without it? I mean Arglas looked pretty alive and well until he got pierced.

@@xerox2678 I'm not to the point with my understanding that I can give a definitive answer. However, it is very much intertwined with why Shulk was able to resist the curse of Zanza, why Shulk became a god.

My theory is that memory space is higher place of existence then the world of Boundless water. Explaining why memory space bigger than shulk endless world after all their are different set of infinite.

This phenomenon "Memory Space" actually exists. It is a metaphysical experience that occurs inside the mind. I think the INFJ brain is the most likely the experience such a phenomenon. - and it wasn't induced by drugs or anything reminiscent of a dream. It is more akin to virtual reality. You feel and are 100% in control of your thoughts and actions, but you feel more like a mass-less spirit floating around, moving freely, even without a body. I could compare it to moving the camera in a 3D software like Maya, but in a first person point of view. I think only a INFJ or open-minded intelligent person can understand this, without feeling the narcissitic-need to mindless belittle what they clearly didn't understand (I hate garbage like that).
