Maybe it's a bit random but I still wanted to say this. Thank you for organizing the translation of the xenoblade art book. I really appreciate it 💙

Update after XC3: Future Redeemed: The real reason Alvis dissapeared after the ending of XC1 was because he returned to his core crystal.
@belot2174 ай бұрын
I like the interpretation of in-game time advancing one minute for every irl second as a way of showing how long it'd take to cross, meaning a journey across Bionis takes weeks in-universe and its size is even bigger than the model.

Especially with the context of XB3 now, this is so fascinating!

It is genuinely impressive how well you managed to recreate and maintain the feeling of mystery that this place created when it was first seen in game.

these arnt accurate as the size of the model is not to scale, bionios and mechonis are around the size of japan

Is she talking to melia
@absoluterainbow2 жыл бұрын
Basically, this also means that Mechonis must be around 15-17km tall (if standing upright), if the scale shown in the cutscene does make sense.
@HydraNara15 Жыл бұрын
I thought the Mechonis was smaller than the Bionis?
@skycloud48022 жыл бұрын
5 miles is huge by video game standards, but absolutely tiny in real life. My small hometown has a larger grid sized square area. So I guess the world within the game is likely far bigger whatever perspective that may be.
@chaos4654 Жыл бұрын
I heard the creator said Bionis and Mechonis are each about the size of Japan.

To the Last Battle / The End Lies Ahead from Xenoblade Chronicles. You'll see both names used as the fans had unofficial titles for ages before the jukebox and ost used different names.

i hope one day the wonderful devs at monlithsoft will let us explore the bionis' shaft
@LadybugsOpin11 күн бұрын
... That moment when you realize that they actually did because Colony 6 sits on top of it and the Ether Mines were canonically stated to be located right below Colony 6... so yes, we actually did get to explore the inside of the Bionis' dick.
@masterofblabber3672 жыл бұрын
Height fits with what Shulk says in Future Connected. He mentions how the shoulder is higher than it was before the Bionis collapse and higher in the sky than Eryth Sea ever was in the old world since it is now or above the clouds. Assuming Shulk's new world functions similarly to Earth, this height would make far more sense with Future Connected and the original "Japan size" has likely been reconned away along with Klaus destroying the universe and Alvis' random key.

I discovered that I enjoyed Shulk and wanted to get better. This is how I got better: - I played a lot of Shulk without using Monado arts at all, just getting used to his kit. - I would dedicate myself specifically to learning only one Monado art at a time. - This allowed me to get comfortable just playing his entire character. - I learned how each of his attacks works well with each art individually. - I learned that being "vanilla" can sometimes just be the better option. - I learned how to reserve my resources (Monado) a little better. - Also learning how much time I have with each art, etc...
@animorte97902 жыл бұрын
Also learned that its generally more beneficial if you are ALWAYS in some Monado art, just extremely difficult to manage efficiently. Still working on it! :P

What I find the most interesting about this theory is that Homs are basically just humans, yet they naturally evolved into existence from a less human form. And since the entire Xenoblade 1 world was created by actual humans (or technically just 1 human: Klaus), it makes me wonder how much influence Zanza has over the evolution of the world.

This phenomenon "Memory Space" actually exists. It is a metaphysical experience that occurs inside the mind. I think the INFJ brain is the most likely the experience such a phenomenon. - and it wasn't induced by drugs or anything reminiscent of a dream. It is more akin to virtual reality. You feel and are 100% in control of your thoughts and actions, but you feel more like a mass-less spirit floating around, moving freely, even without a body. I could compare it to moving the camera in a 3D software like Maya, but in a first person point of view. I think only a INFJ or open-minded intelligent person can understand this, without feeling the narcissitic-need to mindless belittle what they clearly didn't understand (I hate garbage like that).

Alvis's mouth during the "let us begin" voiceline syncs better to what you added than what he was saying in that scene. Did you choose that clip on purpose?

My theory is that memory space is higher place of existence then the world of Boundless water. Explaining why memory space bigger than shulk endless world after all their are different set of infinite.
