I was playing the beginning with my friend and just got to the music box. My Grandmother came by and asked what that beautiful music was. She was slightly taken aback when I said a game im playing. That day she finally understood why I play jrpgs.

This game has THE most beautiful story ever written for a video game accompanied by the most beautiful soundtrack. A real diamond in the rough that just needed a little more time and money to truly shine for everyone, but I love it just the way it is. In a way, the second disk being them looking back to what happened works for the story, and the two similar stories of Fei and Elly recounting how they have loved each other through the generations is both heartbreaking and comforting at the same time.

In the game, it is a music box theme that is played several times through the game, more subtly than this arrangement, until leading up to being its own full lyrical credits song. This arrangement kind of combines both, which is really great: first half being the music box, second half being credits.
