This video is so good, pure information, but enough spectacle to be interesting, and no taking digs at any movies. Another 10/10 vid!

@@robinswords yeah man, most discussion amongst fans about Star Wars, especially when it comes down to lightsabers, can get pretty toxic, so it's nice to see a video that just stays in its lane of being informational made by Creator who genuinely cares about spreading information instead of making quick money off a silly Culture War.

Great video! Couldn't agree more. There are all sorts of options out there these days, but Damiensaber has become a favorite of my choreography group. Lots of rough handling in all sorts of locations. They've survived being dropped in sand, mud, water and even some brutal drops onto concrete.

Awesome run-down on the differences, could we get a durability test for different blades? I'd love to know what intensity of sparring each is good for, especially the baselit as that's more in my budget💜

I remember when they first released the Star Wars sound FX telescopic lightsabers... I seriously went through about five of them, I loved sparring with them so much because they looked and sounded so great, and safety was a pretty minimal concern. Of course, as soon as my health went to complete crap, they came out with the makes/models that were fundamentally designed to use for the kind of sparring I used to enjoy. *Der Sigh* At least I got to enjoy my lightsaber battles BEFORE it was coo-.... well... I got to enjoy lightsaber battles in any case. ASCI-Saber

Oh, that crossguard is on my list, lol. That one has to be interesting to move around. 🤔 Also should say pixel blades are noticeably heavier which some may or may not want. Especially if you go double-bladed. I use baselits for that and it's a workout, lol.

I like the extra weight when I'm using doubles. Gives me a bit more mass to get whirling.

@@robinswords yessir. These have a nice momentum. Pixel staff is also on the list. Actually just need the shorter 28" blades but I know I'm gonna end up buying their Small Maul because 'it makes more sense' somehow. 😅

Hi Robin, i have a question for you! What would be the ideal weapon that a medieval weapons expert would recommend to someone with no experience in combat or with weapons in general? (I'm working on a fictional story and I have that question)
@robinswords Жыл бұрын
Quarterstaff for civilian carry, spear otherwise. If they need to be able to wear it, whatever sword is culturally and period appropriate.

What’s the difference, one is better.

Xeno +Better fidelity +Might be converted to RGB w/ Adapters (-More Cost) - More Expensive - Fragile - Higher energy demands RGB +Cheaper +Durable -Lower fidelity -Less customization in blade effects Xeno is potentially better since it can become an RGB but that will be the most expensive option as you'd need the xeno saber, an adapter, a pixel blade, and a baselit blade.
