PeggythePaiger That choir is one of my all time favorite video game musical moments. Another from Mitsuda is the piano from Secret of the Forest in Chrono Trigger. The man is a genius.

So glad I came back and played this. A very important game in RPG history. Thank you Fauxvid1984.

I was so enthralled by the music in this game that I purchased the soundtrack, too. Way back before it cost $100+!

One of my favorite RPGs of all time. Played and beat all three games. I have the music from Xenosaga 2 from the iTunes Store. Would be nice if I could get the music from the first game on the iTunes Store but I do not think it is located there. Thanks for hosting the music so I can hear it again.

Its rare when an anime adaptation and video game have unique musical composers and good soundtracks in their own right. I will say Yasunori Mitsuda's work is far more polished and pleasing to the ear than Composers Satoru Kousaki & Hiroshi Ohkubo that did the anime soundtrack. But there are some gems there too. This series always had fantastic music.

I just checked out the intro yesterday and the music was the first thing I noticed. It is on par with movie levels. Imo Japanese games (Square, Resident Evil, Metal Gear etc) are unmateched when it comes to storytelling, character design, and MUSIC.

I recently beat this game again after not playing it for a very long time. I must say it's better than I remember. And at times less challenging than I remember too, except Tiamat, that guy still sucks.

Have you played Xenogears?
@Roboglenn3875 жыл бұрын
No I haven't. Heard nothing but praise for it though. And compared to everything else on my video game wish list it's not really a priority for me.

@@Roboglenn387 welp it should it exceeds anything after it, xenosaga is a reimagination of it and Xenoblade Chronicles it's a love letter to it, this saying if you didn't in the 3 years after this comment

I agree. Kajiura's contributions were hit and miss. I did like some of her compositions for Xenosaga 2, but other than that it wasn't nearly as good as Mitsuda's music. His music is has so much meat to it in Episode I.

@barthellomeus Is that based on the lack of battle themes or not all songs being used completely?

God the music is so good. Why did the game have to suck so much?
