It’s funny you say the cap looks like an Egyptian hat, Xerjoff are based in a part of Italy with the most Egyptian artefacts outside of Egypt. I believe the caps are certainly inspired by the Egyptian heritage of that part of Italy.

Xerjoff is based in Torino. In Torino there is one of the largest museum in the world of Ancient Egypt things. That’s why there is a lot of ‘orient inspiration’ in Xerjoff. Cheers from Italy

Hm I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s Egyptian though. However, what I’d say it looks like it’s a Papal Tiara or Mitre.
