Please let me know if you like the video footage. I know it does not necessarily add to the knowledge base, but it was so beautiful, I had to share it! - Doc Higgins

I really did enjoy the footage for many reasons. Seeing the ground you're walking and the scenery is beautiful. It made this video more personable!

Xero has a sale going on until 10/22/24 on specific colors and models. I snagged these up for $35. Can't beat that

Great review...I also hike in Earthrunners but like the protection of these. I was sooo amazed at how much feedback and sensations my feet provided compared to standard super thick soled/lugged boots.

Great video. Thanks. I was just thinking about ordering one with the same color.

I’ve been using the Terraflex II for trails and hikes. They have been perfect for my feet but I also walk in Xero shoes so they are used to it. Also just ordered the Mesa Trail for disc golf.

Great review, Dr Higgins. Would you recommend this shoe for serious long-distance rucking? Thank you
@NeuroAthleteClinic2 жыл бұрын
Michael, two things to consider. #1. Are your feet conditioned to loaded, unsupported trucking? OR are you training for that now? #2. (INSIDER INFORMATION) more aggressive and superior terrain handling soles are coming. I am super excited about that. I have done some serious hiking with 20lbs to the tune of several hundred miles both in these hikers as well as in my trail sandles. So, it is possible and it is fun! Let me know if I can help you more. - Doc

@@NeuroAthleteClinic Thank you Dr H. So far this year I've logged over 5K miles on my Xero Preos, so, I'm adapted to minimal low stack height shoes. I'm running a marathon 12/4 and am considering rucking for off-season conditioning, which is why I inquired about the DayLite. I appreciate your response and am looking forward to future reviews. Cheers :-)

@@MyFatAdaptedLife Excellent. I bow to you in all seriousness! Wonderful. You are definitely barefoot adapted! I definitely recommend. The only issue is traction. But I hike very dry, decomposing granite mountains with lots of scree. But I still do it in the Daylite very happily. Keep up your adventurous pursuits! If you ever make it out to Colorado, it would be an honor to meet you! - Doc

@@NeuroAthleteClinic Thank you for the kind words of encouragement. I greatly appreciate it. Now you've given me a reason to visit the beautiful Centennial State. Cheers Dr H.

I love Xero shoes too and have walked the Camino del Norte and Primitivo in terraflex. But they are quite slippery when wet especially wet Cobblestone and wet marble sidewalks. Have you tested the daylites in wet conditions and how do they perform?
@NeuroAthleteClinic2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have tried these shoes in all sorts of conditions. Rain, snow, ice, and various dry surfaces. They are more slippery than I would prefer. However, the new ones coming out this year, have an improved and stickier soul. I’d check them out at least. I know I will be.

are they too stiff (lack of cushion)?
@FisherMan-bh9dn3 ай бұрын
These are barefoot shoes so they are designed to have no cushion.

A nice balance between barefoot and protection.

Thanks! I've debated buying these. Now I know more about xero, too from a chiropractor. I notice the same with altras and they don't impress me.
@NeuroAthleteClinic2 жыл бұрын
I had to give up on Altra over the last few years. As I began doing hiking in Xero sandals I found my feet did not perform well with the cushion in Altras. Plus, it frustrated me that the foam broke down. I have hundreds of miles on my Xero Hiking sandals and their still going strong. So the boots were really for long loaded hikes where I thought the extra protection/support would be helpful. I was pleased.
