Great review once again. The toe box volume is a big no no. I could never figure out why my Jim Green Barefoot felt like my toes are restricted when the width is okay. It turns out the toe box isn't high enough, which in turns restricts your toes from splaying properly and expanding sideways. I hope they will address that issue as it's a major flaw. I was very harsh on the LEMS boulder grip but I grew very found of them and wear them daily at home. Winter is at the door and my LEMS Summits are ready. My toes move more freely in my LEMS than they do in my Jim Greens, which results in me wearing my LEMS way more. I started my barefoot journey with Xero, but they are very hard to recommend, especially now that other barefoot brands are producing very good products. Splay is killing the market with their designs. LEMS rock with their boots. Xero will have to adapt.

My Xero Denvers are very slippery when wet. They slide on the cars floor mats when getting in or out, and they slide on any smooth surface (Their Prio has the same problem). The tongue is also not gusseted. Fortunately, i love my Lem's Boulder Summits and my Primal Zens which have non-slip soles.

@@kerryrwac I have many different Lems as well. So much more width. Chelsea, primal 2, primal zen, 9-5 and more. They all fit much better.

@millone3393 and they are better made.

I thought it was just me but you said EVERYTHING about Xero that is exactly correct. I cannot wear anything comfortably from them. Slippery as well. Shame that they stick with their formula. I won't be buying any Xero shoes anymore. This is after trying 4 or 5 different styles hoping they would have something for me. Thanks for the honest review.😊

One of the most comfortable shies i have is their discontinued Colorado shoe which is basically a minimalist keen closed toe sandal. Had to buy it second hand. Not sure why they discontinued it. I have the basic black prios. The quality could be slightly better, but it is a pretty comfortable and wide shoe. I've met some others that prefer them over vivo since some say vivos are not wide enough.

Damn I've been desperate for a review of them. And finally we have it. NICE!

I like the looks, but just wish they were able to accomodate people with more voluminous footsies.

Xero shoes are very comfortable for me,BUT they have absolutely ZERO lol traction in wet surfaces!!!

I have eaten so much crap out in the woods because of xeros. I gave up on them a couple years ago cause i don't want to slide off a cliff or something!

I agree with you guys that the waterproof component is so huge when it comes to Chelsea boots in my opinion! Companies getting away from the utility aspect and focusing more on style. Blundstone is who they are because they look good, are robust AND offer a waterproof version. Hoping more of the barefoot brands follow suit

Thanks for the video! Agreed with all that you shared here. I bought these a couple months ago, looking for a rugged barefoot replacement for my blundstones. The sizing was way too small and I was unimpressed with the quality and sent them back. I’m very curious about the barefoot stockmans and can’t wait for you’re review since there is not much info on them out there! Any idea of when that vid will be out/any spoilers about how they compare to these? Thanks!

We probably won't have that one done until the new year, but it's high up on our list for finishing. In short, they're built like tanks, the quality is definitely their shining attribute. They're much stiffer than other barefoot Chelseas, but that's the trade-off for how long they'll last!

I started from wearing only Xero to not wearing Xero at all in a few years. The shape is too straight, not working for my wide toe splay and narrow heel. I used to loving the Alpine boots, so warm and waterproof. But they were scary slippery on any little bit of ice. The traction was worse than my 5 years old UGG boots.

Do you find them narrower/lower volume than the regular laced Ridgeway?
@sonsofsever21 күн бұрын
Yeah we didn't have the same issues with the laced Ridgeway

I keep thinking the same thing: Xero shoes are not really foot shaped or wide enough. What a shame

Cool and comfy but slippery as hell. Just don't buy it, unless you live in the desert.
