Mine never starts the update after confirming “download mode.” It just stays on the Xerox logo screen with “Boot Mode” at the top indefinitely.

same error here, scanner lamp is defect or a connector loose. I tried opening the scanner but it is to complicated. For now I'm using the toners and when they're done I'll buy a new printer. Not a Xerox this time.
