THE XFA 27 had a special part in ace combat x called scarface mbs whitch turns regular missiles into mstm's instead of the special weapon

you could have a QAAM attached at the sp weapons slot and 4 missiles too

You also had a part that lets standard missiles lock on to multiple targets. And it stacked with the Scarface MBS.

This plane is an absolute god. First of all, it’s mobility stat is a lie, it’s far more maneuverable then it’s stats say and it’s acceleration is ludicrous. Next is MSTM, it’s so damn versatile and it’s ammo is amazing. I would argue this is potentially the best plane in the dlc.

I'm actually disappointed by how they handled the MSTM in this game. First of all I would have greatly preferred it being the default missiles instead of a special weapon. Second it doesn't benefit from standard missile parts. Third there's no Salamander OS part, which enable multi-lock on all weapons.

@@ZombiesAteMyChannel I would prefer it being the standard missles, but I see no reason issue with it being upgraded with SPW parts when the XFA is extremely ammo efficient. I also hate Salamander OS, it is very ammo consumptive

Agreed! According to the director of Ace Combat 7, that plane was a reference design to be the successor of the F-14 with added stealth and weapon capabilities. When I heard that, I was dying to get my hands on it, and love it. Now its my new favorite along the ADF-01 FALKEN and the F-14 Tomcat.

@@andrewrogers3067 I don't mind it being in SP slot at all. In fact, I welcome it. You essentially have 6 standard missiles with massive amounts of ammo reserve. If you space your shots, you can literally fire 1 missile per second, it's insane. It's absolutely one of the best SP weapons in the game, second only to the PLSL, I'd say.

The MSTM has a weird bug (or maybe it's intended). It actually does slightly more damage than your standard missiles. e.g. It takes 5 standard missiles to take out Cruisers and Aegis Ashores, but only takes 4 MSTM. With the Directional Proximity Fuse Lv. 1 (SPW), you can actually take out F-22A's, Su-57's and the like with just 2 MSTM.

This thing definitely looks like a ps model. So blocky and super angular with few smooth curves. They did a great job putting it into modern graphics.

In fairness I don't think it has anything to do with it's PS1 origins. Stealth Aircraft were almost all super blocky and angular like that in the 80s and 90s. It was the best aesthetic IMO.

@@vanitashikari8908 As dlc. The bundle of three via steam, in the US, is 12.99, and includes a bunch of skins for non-dlc planes from AC:0 as well as a bunch of emblems. Buying the new special aircraft individually is 4.99 a pop and I don't know if you get all the skins with them that way.
