Yeah I had a trainer that took advantage of the driving etc. Was very bipolar. Almost fought multiple times. Had to get another trainer. Then second trainer almost got into an accident while I was sleeping almost crashed his truck, then I got my third one almost done and he is the best one yet.

Shower daily on my truck
@EKMTransport Жыл бұрын
Every trainer is different but i do agree with showers daily or no more than 2 days. sometimes you just cant get to a truck stop or depending on the load delivery/pick up, sometimes its more than that. At least for me, when i go solo.. ill be taking a shower daily.. not because im any kind of germaphobe but i just like to feel relaxed, comfortable and clean. Eventually when i do train, ill explain the same to my trainee as well. If they need to go home for something important for family, i would do my best to get them there.. i know most people dont feel that way but im big on family and being in this job, you can definitely lose your family..

I hate everything about TNT. I'm 30k miles in with 20k to go and the process is just too long. Even if u start off with a good vibe most of these trainers are only in it 4 the pay so everyone ends up frustrated. Oh yeah, and it's not enough pay. I really believe u should get some of the load because 50k miles is a lot. Lastly, it sucks that ur PSD miles don't rollover.

Question for y’all. In a perfect world where you nor your trainer has to take any home time. How long do you think it would take to hit that 50k miles?
@EKMTransport Жыл бұрын
Well.. thats not really a hard answer if you're being realistic. 3-4k miles a week.. should be no +-3 months give or take a few weeks. perfect world being no home time, no breakdowns, never stopping etc. i dont think anyone is arguing "what ifs". the bigger problem is the AMOUNT of miles required. They're sticking everyone at 50k and basically not giving the trainer or FM any kind of say as to how well they are driving, learning, etc. speaking for myself, im bored.. my trainer has already agreed there really wasnt much to teach me and the stuff i did have to learn, wasnt going to take 50k miles to understand.. at this point im just making him more money..
