Long time no see, sorry about that! I've been struggling to get myself simply to sit down and edit, my focus is just not there right now, even though I have SO many ideas for videos haha. Typical!
Anyway, this video is for Emily (luvtheheaven5) who won the auction for a video from me in ViddersUnited! Thank you so much for bidding on me Emily, it meant so much to me. It's been a bit of a battle but this video is finally here for you. I hope you like it and it's at least a little bit how you imagined it. I did struggle with the tone of this video the whole way through. I felt like the song lyrically matched so well to the series but then everything I edited seemed to dark for it? I'm really not sure I succeeded but I tried to show the story and the emotions it put all the characters through - especially Katniss. There's a lot of Snow/Katniss interaction too, but I really can't help myself, I always love his quotes haha! I wanted the end to especially show that even though they rebelled and won, the consequences will live with them, especially Katniss forever. Also apologies that there are SO many voiceovers in this I definitely got carried away haha! I've listened to the sound in my headphones, my laptop, my boyfriend's speakers and it sounds different in all of them, sometimes super loud, sometimes quiet. I couldn't win haha sorry if it's bad. I also could never decide between the acoustic and original, the edit actually works for both for the most part haha but I ended up with the original merged with the acoustic for the ending because I liked the feeling of the acoustic ending. Hopefully it still all works and thank you so much again Emily for bidding on me!

I should vid this fandom more. I do enjoy the scenes and I find the whole story really easy to edit, especially Katniss, so maybe I should try a Katniss video at some point. But let's face it, it's been 5 years since my last Hunger Games video so it'll probably be another 5 before I edit that haha! Anyway me and this video are definitely not friends at all any more. In fact I just don't want to see it ever again at this moment in time haha but I do hope that you guys like it and hopefully it's not actually bad and i'm just going a bit mad re-watching it over and over like a perfectionist. A girl can dream right? haha!
Hopefully I can finish some more videos too. I actually have two other ViddersUnited videos to finish and i'm sure the deadline is soon and I will not meet it. I do apologies for my uselessness. Also Hi Lola, yes I will finish a video for you one day! In better news, I have a whole new setup for vidding. I got myself a desk, a nice fancy chair and have stolen a old 4:3 monitor as my laptop screen is basically dead. So whilst editing using a square monitor is not ideal, this setup is a million times better than a flashing laptop screen, so hallelujah! Though I went to check this video on my normal laptop screen and the colours are wildly different and it's weird that everything is widescreen haha! Right I will stop rambling because otherwise my descriptions never end! Oh, one more thing, I'm now basically inactive on Twitter due to the stress/anxiety it causes me, so if you want to get hold of me best to try and message me on Discord if you have it!
