The screw with the tab on it. Removing that screw will validate the warranty.
@2FarTech4 жыл бұрын
Yes, It will void any warranty if you have warranty on the card. Typically its almost impossible to get the card to a level of dirty which would require a clean like the way we did in the video. But a card that's couple of years old could really benefit from a job like we did. And there will be noticeable improvement in performance too. Most cards comes with only 1 year warranty.

Thanks for the video! But why do you need to pre-heat the chip and the heatsink before installation? (9:37)
@2FarTech3 жыл бұрын
This is a standard that I follow on all my builds. Actually I sand/lap the heatsink too. In this way any oxidization is removed and better contact is possible. When I pre-heat the Components to the same temperature the Thermal compound becomes more viscous and allows it to spread better and form the final thin layer that I expect it to be. Otherwise, when the gpu heats up during operating the thermal paste will start flowing and change the actually pressure on the die as now the layer has become thinner. All these facts cant be measured or evaluated but I would like to get consistent results. So to avoid all this, I do this in all my builds and get a 100% satisfaction on the thermal paste installation part. We are talking 100s of installs.

Alright I just got the package a week ago and The quality was excellent and thank you for your advice but can you please tell me that in the mouse button there is one button which shows arrows when I read in the instruction manual it was the dpi button so I learnt about it and I also realized that button was for changing colours so can you tell me which colour is for what dpi and if this is not the case then how would I know my mouse dpi please answer as fast as you could
@2FarTech4 жыл бұрын
I actually sold few units of this keyboard and mouse yesterday. I was testing two PCs on this keyboard and mouse as part of the package. The Button as far as i know is for DPI. Finding DPI isnt exactly easy unless there is a specific software from HP for that. I am not aware of such software. You would immediately know the change in dpi when you move the mouse before and after pressing the button.

Hey, I wonder what you mean by failure of fan while installing a new PSU. You mean, you broke a fan fin? Or it stopped spinning? Just 1 fan stopped spinning? You can ZIP tie another fan to the heatsink without the shroud. That's too much work and it will destroy the originality of the GPU. Instead, you go with this. I would prefer ASUS as its has better features. For example to clean the heatsink you dont have to detach it from the Board. The Fans lasts longer than the XFX Version, Gets slightly better performance. The Asus Dual Fan fins can break easily if it hits your finger or something hard while rotating. It also might not include a backplate. The XFX tend to overheat than the Asus Model.

is there merit to replacing thermal pads?
@2FarTech3 жыл бұрын
Its more like peace of mind and hoping for long term and stable performance. If the thermal pad has worn out, you will see its completely dried out and if you try to remove it it will break without any elasticity. In that case its better to replace it. Most low end and mid level cards have no way to telling if the Memory and Power sub systems are overheating. The only sure way its to make sure you give them the best cooling possible. If that means replacing with better thermal pads, then so be it. In the GTX 1080ti cleaning, i was replacing the PAD on the power section as it was bad. That video will be coming soon
