That’s the issue too long already in the K-POP INDUSTRY singers singing but lip sync or singing on top of a recorded song that’s why MAYA. Deliberately low down her mic in WOKE UP to show the people the difference and also a slap to the industry. And in the industry there is a control in breathing so that it won’t be heard in the mic while the artist is singing. Head,diaphragm, stomach, chest voice.

This is 100% not a criticism, but you can also tell they're fully live because of the slight detunes that are different from performance to performance between each performer. There are groups that records breaths into their live recordings but its so hard to emulate the natural way your voice detunes and changes timbre/texture/power from day to day. a lot of groups sound like live vocals until you get like 5 or 6 performances in and you realize each one sounds exactly the same down to the intensity of the breath through the mic; that's not really how voices work.

This is what impresses me with XG, when most groups get comfortable in the choreo they get lazy, take shortcuts, get sloppy... when XG gets comfortable with intricate choreography their moves get sharper; the synchronicity, stage performance and intensity goes up a notch and the confidence boost translates to more powerful raw vocals! These girls are never satisfied with a good performance and take each opportunity to perform (regardless of studio conditions or limitations) to improve and strive beyond perfection. Also, its important to remember that saying a group is the best or that their talent is undeniable does not diminish other group's effort or talent.
