the talent (and multi-talent) in XG is just next level- incomparable by the rest of current kpop tbh. On top of the 4 main rappers being at the top of the heap in terms of kpop rappers, the 3 main vocalists are also. Juria and Chisa are probably 2 of the best all-round singers in the industry right now- in the East and West- and actually have pretty amazing ability on the technical side as well (breath support through most of their octaves, incredible range and versatility, dynamics- especially Chisa). Hinata is coming into her own as a singer, and has lovely honey-dipped and dulcet overtones with dark and husky undertones- perfect for pop and r&b. However, it doesn't end there. As a complete dance crew, they're pretty much in a league of their own. There are no "weak" dancers in the group. Juria and Maya had the least experience in this realm, especially with hip hop style dance; but, as we can see now, they've come a long way, especially Maya who has become one of the strongest performers of a group made up of 6 other strong performers. Then we have the girls who are just next-level dance talents- Jurin, Cocona, Hinata. These girls, especially Jurin, could literally compete as a crew in an international level dance competition. Jurin and Cocona, especially, have a musicality that transcends kpop, and these 2 (along with a couple of the other girls) can actually freestyle dance at an extremely high/competition level. XGs choreo is singularly impressive, especially compared to the high-intensity, yet cookie-cutter world of 5th gen kpop dance. The creativity in their routines (and in the behind the scenes content that show Jurin freestyling, for example) show that the group as a whole exceed the average kpop dance IQ. They experiment with all kinds of dynamic texture and levels in their formations; they are consistently playing with the beat, back beat, off-beat, between beat of their music in their choreos- it makes their dance practices a must watch. XG is bringing back the spectacle that kpop used to be for many of us who got into the genre during the 2nd and 3rd gens. When a comeback was an entire event almost like a festival- fans anticipating it for a month in advance, watching every single stage, even being excited for the supplementary behind the scenes content to drop, like the aforementioned dance practices and BTS MV shootings. Their MVs are obviously of the utmost production-level, and it's great to see a company re-investing their money back into the product instead of just funneling it to the stakeholders and investors. Somewhere along the way in the 4th gen, kpop companies began stagnating and not cultivating the immense talent that were recruited, and, most importantly, they stopped developing the trainees after they became full-fledged group members. XG is reminding a lot of us kpop OGs of the older groups. The groups who didn't rest on their laurels after a couple of music show wins- the groups whose hunger and ambition opened up the gates to the West and beyond. The groups who you could trace their improvement from humble beginnings- from raw talent to, many combacks later, fully-developed pop-stars who were still hungry to learn and improve and become true masters of their particular craft. Kpop used to remind many of us of the pop- and rock-stars of old: Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, etc. These larger than life "idols." That was the draw that brought groups like BTS to worldwide acclaim and domination. XG is the next evolution of that lineage imo.

Yes, there are 3 vocalists and 4 rappers, but that doesn’t stop them from breaking boundaries as their rappers can sing and their vocalists can rap. Check out their XG Move videos where each of them have shown different dance styles.

Your Ariana girl’s name is Chisa she is the oldest at 22 right now, from Osaka. Use that name .She has an incredible voice. The vocal line is the 3 girls at the end that were doing their 1-2-3 Adlib parts while the Rap line were all singing the chorus. But they all can sing, and with Woke Up, they all participated in the rap. In that all rap video, the vocal line was Hinata, the blue haired girl who did the hook, Juria was the golden Anubis like figure who rapped I’m Suoer Vison y’all just superstition, and Chisa was driving the car with rap flow change, your Ariana reference here.

Their debut is Tippy toes so you could start with that one. Second is Mascara., shooting stars, left right. Tape #1-4 is rap, unbelievable rappers. Vox series is voice, Move is dancing. Their influence is r&b hip hop 90s. You will love them. ❤

They are shape shifters because they are so versatile. They can be in whatever musical form they want. They are thought of as having created their own lane. I say it's more like they can move in any lane they want. Check out these 3 songs. "New Dance" "Puppet Show" "TGIF" They are all so different. They're all good vocalists. Cocona won a lot of singing competitions before being a XGALX trainee and Maya has a very powerful singing voice also. Amy Harvey showed us that she can sing on her and Jurin Tape (Chill Bill) and Jurin sings too on Left Right. The vocalists can Rap too. Juria had always expressed her desire to rap more on their future releases.

Left to Right: Harvey, Hinata, Juria, Jurin, Chisa, Cocona, and Maya. Chisa (ponytail) is the strongest vocalist, not even close. The other 2 vocalists are Juria (more breathy and falsetto vocals than Chisa, almost always has bangs), and Hinata (blonde with pigtails, or as I call her "the cutest one" but the weakest of the pure vocalists). The rest are designated rappers but yeah they can also sing, some better than others. Yep that was Maya, "den mother, mother wolf" It was this performance that made me start to look at her more seriously. I had NO IDEA she could sing like that because I thought that she was just a rapper. She's probably a better singer than some very popular K-pop group main vocalists.

WOW. SMH. If this girl would stop running her mouth and just listen to this beautiful song she would realize that she just talked over the top of one of the best vocals to come along in a very long time. She did herself a total disservice by stopping and starting so much asking ridiculous questions that could have been saved until the end. I found it really off putting and I'm sorry but...very annoying. I enjoyed her reaction to Woke up but nah....this was just an unwatchable mess of non stop pausing and it destroyed the flow of this great song. IMO.

How incredibly rude. Go make your own channel, and your own reaction videos just how you like them. It's seriously comments like these that show a negative side to fandoms in general and prevent people from wanting to discover songs.
