Hesono is Japanese for umbilical cord. XG has a chant Hesono! 'O! It basically means that they are closer than siblings, XG are not just a group, but family. XG Documentary EP 7 (I think) was heavily focused on Hesono. They released a MV and BTS video for it.

The NewDNA mini album is a story in itself when listened from the 1st track to the last, for context. In a nutshell, the story is in two parts; °Hesono - having travelled within the multiverse, from one universe to another, a new female species arrives (the howling of the wolf heralding them) ; °XGene - the new species being activated and programmed; °GrlGvng - role provisioning ; °TGIF - integrating into the mainstream human-kind °NewDance - discovery and experiencing the simple pleasures of human life °Puppet show - relations and empowerment, . The album is well-crafted very much unlike other albums whose songs are just put together at random. XG is XtraordinaryGirls, created with the "X" DNA gene.
