XG can't always be paying homage to just American Hip Hop. Hinata's crying because they are leaving the planet they already conquered heading for earth. This is a wild theory based on the XG space lore concept: They usually have a “departure” MV before the release of a new album. It started with Shooting Star. They’re destroying the planet, and then in Left Right we see them leaving. Then the New DNA album drops. They wake up from space sleep (Hesonoo and X-Gene), they invade (GIRL GVNG). They start exploring and learning (New Dance, TGIF), then they begin seeing issues on the planet (Puppet Show). The issues are getting more serious (Something Ain’t Right), and now IYKYK is them preparing and eventually leave the planet. So if you’ve made it this far on my post. They are on their way to a new planet (new album drops in November 8). 😉

On tour, Simon does a DJ set before the girls goes into their Xypher set. When he did a little sample sneak peek of IYKYK, He played some Jamiroquai, I think from the High Times album, it set the tone just right for a lead into this drop. So dope. He should do it again but start with a track from Space Cowboy or The Return of just to really set the mood.

As much as I miss the sounds of Left Right, Shooting Star and GRL GVNG, with these past few songs, probably since Undefeated. Im slowly appreciating each and every one of them and what each one brings to the group. (Please dont hate me for those that bias Hinata and Harvey because i know theres a lot of you) I feel like i wouldnt be the only one that would think up random scenarios for this group like if any girl had to leave who would you care for least with leaving and to me it was Harvey and Hinata simply because you have Vocalists like Chisa, Juria and Maya and you have the rapping of Coco, Jurin and Maya. So to me, Hinata and Harvey, being utilised the least up until about Undefeated were almost redundant to the group. But they're starting to bring more and more and I absolutely love it. Juria is going through a glow up. Shes the underrated gem of the group. I feel like in her own mind shes not even a popstar. Its so cute seeing her pose for photos and all. Everyone has these unique poses, facial expressions and then theres Juria just peace signs and smiles. I absolutely adore it Also, i totally knew youd lose your shit once you realised that was Jurias rap. Im glad im not the only one that thought, if anyones throwing hands its Maya, either her or Chisa, maybe both. Either way, im terrified.
