It is truly a girls generation and I am not mad at all. This song... Mascara was such a slay last year, I was obsessed so for this to be miles away better is blowing my mind. Everything about this release is PERFECTION, the song is top tier, absolutely SOTY contender, the fashion, the hair, the makeup, THIS VIDEO, like can we talk about how original and unique it is from the sets to the editing and filming? The people they work with are some of the best in every field, as they should be because the girls are shaping up to be just that as well. In my opinion only I like that they kept it at the same flow..It’s reminds me of 90’a and 2000’s R&B that doesn’t have crazy changes on the beat..If it did change I would of lost on the rhythm..R&B(Rhythm &Blues)

Very true, I personally don’t mind either but I see why some wanted more. There was only two songs released with this comeback so expecting a more complicated song is reasonable in my opinion. I know it's not technically kpop, but when I listened right before watchinh this, I thought...it's like a mixture of r&b/pop and kpop done the best way. I the bside was only a taste compared to the tt. It's definitely gonna be hard to beat this and the girls are showing right off the bat that 2023 is another year for girl domination in the industry👏🏻⭐️ Edit: and the styling?!?! The thing about XG, which sticks out to me is their confidence and naturalness. If someone would've told me that XG is a group that were created by the ladies and they were friends since childhood, then I would've believed you. They have this comraderie amongst themselves that seems way too organic rather this being a case of auditions and then training for years to see if they made the cut.

i kinda liked the simplistice beat for "left right" it brought me back the to r&b in the mid 2000's like Keisha Cole or Cassie type of beat. It gave that merry-go-round, loop vibe. The "left right" stage performance really makes the song shine with the dance!

Hmm everyone’s referencing 00’s r&b but melodically or even production wise both those artists have songs where the verses and choruses have a distinct change and they even have bridges in their songs! Keyshia Cole’s I changed my mind, love, let it go, heaven sent or Cassie’s me & you or long way to go have a lot going on even though Cassie is not a strong singer the production value is strong structurally and melodically. Throw in Mya, Ashanti, JLo, 3LW and even more 2000’s r&b singers and 99.9% of their songs would move in a specific direction with ad libs to boot as well as choruses with lyrical content than just repetitive words. But maybe that’s just me loool.
