Some things you may not know: - The First Take version of Winter Without You is even better because of the live vocals. Highly recommend it - The dance practice video for Tippy Toes shows all the amazing stuff in their choreo that is not in the MV - If you want more songs like Winter Without You from them then check out their song In The Rain which unfortunately doesn't have a MV at this time - They have an amazing live performance of Hesonoo & X-Gene from their NEW DNA showcase last year they did in Japan - At the very end of the MV for Puppet Show you see the title of the song and then it turns into like strings of DNA teasing the Hesonoo & X-Gene choreo - Every member in XG can sing, rap and dance but three members (Jurin, Maya and Cocona) even excell in all three - Their most popular song to date is Shooting Star followed by either Left, Right or Woke Up - X-Gene is the precursor to what later became the song Howling because both songs have very similar song structures

XG has elevated my musical experience. I've been a Kpop fan for years and years. After a while they all start to sound and look the same to me. Then I discovered XG and for the first time in a long time, I'm excited about music again. With XG, you never know what you're gonna get - hiphop, RnB, pop, EDM. @@shalayaB Yeah, their leader is Jurin. That other rapper that you thought was the leader in Puppet Show was Cocona. She is actually the youngest of the group, a few month younger than Maya. Maya is the rapper that did the fast rap in Woke Up and Howling that you like. She likes fast rap. They are best friends since childhood! XG is a very experimental group. Having positions doesn’t really matter to them as much as they are willing to go out their comfort zone to try new ideas. For examples, Chisa did that melodic rap in Woke Up despite being a non-rapper of the group. Each of XG members have their own individual XG dance choreography videos called XG Move showing different dance styles like tutting and contemporary including Maya, Chisa, and Juria who are the non-dancers of the group. 😃

In "Winter Without You," both the rap line and vocal line participated, showcasing that all of their rappers can really sing. Cocona has that deep bass voice, super dope for rapping. Your microphone is super sensitive because I can hear it squeaking when you moved - hahahah.. The First Take version of Winter Without You is a one-take showing all of them singing and is perfectly magical. I believe Woke Up is their most popular song to date (in the western world anyway). They debuted March 2022 with Tippy Toes - and the dance practice of that song is some of the best dancing I've ever seen. Jurin is the one that started and had the bar with the Motorola flip phone. Harvey was 2nd as well as on the float in the 2nd part. Chisa was the one in the car that went 3rd with the vocals. In my humble OPINION, all the girls are amazing, but MAYA's probably their all rounder, she can do everything. Girl has crazy delivery and fast flow in her raps, heavenly vocals and extraordinary moves and stage presence. If you analyze them throughout the "categories" MAYA is the most complete. Sure, COCONA has a beautiful singing voice and she even won singing contests when she was younger, but she's still not as good of a singer as MAYA, unfortunately. And while JURIN has improved on her singing and HARVEY does have some real cool vocal techniques they're both on the bottom of the list when it comes to singing in the group. Again, it doesn't mean they're bad, far from that, actually. Now talking about rap, I'm super happy the vocalistas are giving it a try and I do see improvement! But I don't think you can actually compare them to any of the main rappers in the group, at least not yet. And regarding dance/stage presence, I thought it would be really hard to beat JURIN but even tho MAYA's not as good as her with dance, at least technically speaking, her stage presence is CRAZY GOOD. From the beginning I always considered JURIN to forever maintain the crown of having the best SP in the group, but watching them perform live in their world tour chanced that completely. I don't know what it is but MAYA's confidence and SP just went through the roof this year, just watch her solo rap in the tour and you'll know what I mean and the way she moves is just so entertainning, she's so sharp and full of energy, love that! And I'm not being biased either, I'm talking about the most well balanced/all-rounder member in the group, but she's not the best at everything. While her singing is really good and technically speaking she's the 3° best singer in the group (yes, better than HINATA, and in this case, no biased opinions here) she's far from being as good as JURIA or CHISA. When it comes to rapping it does fell more like a preference thing, COCONA is the most experienced with the hip-hop style out of the four and to sum it up she's just super cool, JURIN has got some real fire verses lately, HARVEY has an unique tone and laid-back vibe, and MAYA is aggressive and energetic. But JURIN and COCONA are for sure the best dancers! At least technically speaking. Obs: I'm sorry for rambling and forgive me if I wrote something wrong, english isn't my first language 😅

I disagree. Cocona and Jurin along with Maya are the three aces in XG. Jurin has started to feel more omfortable singing in English this year which you can hear on Something Ain't Right and In The Rain for example and Cocona has won those singing competitions for a reason instead of a Chisa, Maya or Juria. Only difference is that Cocona is the hiphop maknae so she focuses most of her time on her rapping because XG's vocal line is already strong enough and the fact that Maya speaks English fluently so it's the easiest for her to also sing in English.

XG debut in 2022, Winter Without You released in winter 2023. XG tends to have lower views and likes, because they are pretty organic. And their goal was not to be a "K-pop" or "J-Pop" group, but a global group with their own lane or X-Pop, in which they cover all types of genres. XG breaking boundries.
