These girls are all JAPANESE. I just wanna put it out there because so many comments still calling them Korean. They have nothing to do with YG, despite the rumor. They are under AVEX, which is a big Japanese music label that has been the center of J-pop industry, and produced artists like Ayumi Hamasaki. Another piece of info to understand J-pop: J-pop didn’t really needed to export abroad like K-pop cuz the domestic market was big enough to profit, meaning their music style has only followed domestic trends (which led to some creative music like Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu). The problem is big labels like Avex didn’t even allow their MVs to be played by other countries by limiting license etc.. BUT with XG they decided to finally open to the world. Their company xgalx is sub label of avex trax. The main producer Simon was a former 2nd gen kpop idol. They used the kpop system to train these girls for last 5 years, the girls know english, korean & Japanese so the transition into Korean and Japanese releases will be easy for them. They actually just started promoting on Korean music shows.

Oh absolutely. Tippy Toes was absolutely great and it absolutely had structure even if it was toned down (similar to NCT - The 7th Sense I remember it being called boring because it was a chill song or even more recently Le Sserafim’s debut both of which I love). Though I prefer Tippy Toes musically, Mascara is good too and the girls absolutely sell it with their performance and charisma.

When I want to lift my mood, I put highlights on the tip of my nose and under my eyebrows as well! HINATA: My latest favorite is my nightcap! I highly recommend wearing a nightcap when you go to bed because it makes your hair shiny and silky when you wake up in the morning. JURIN: My favorite beauty item is eyelash serum! The title of our song is “MASCARA,” and the most important part of my makeup is my eyelashes and mascara! So I put extra effort into lash care to prevent my lashes from getting damaged! Every night before going to bed I always apply eyelash serum to make them stronger and longer. HARVEY: I love mascara!! When I do my makeup, I always pay the most attention to my eyelashes! When I apply eye makeup, I lift my lashes with an eyelash curler before applying mascara, but even just applying mascara makes my eyes look more defined and changes the whole look! I respect and love how Maya's always full of energy. I don't think it's that easy to stay cheerful and energetic at all times, so I know she's always looking around to see what's going on! I love Juria’s hard-working spirit, and seeing Juria working so hard makes me feel like I have to work hard too! I like Harvey’s amazing sense of humor, and even though she plays it cool, she and Chisa are the two funniest in XG! I love that Hinata laughs at everything! To the point where sometimes I wonder if she's forcing herself to laugh even though it's not that funny. But that only makes me want to make her laugh, even more, becoming more foolish around her. Chisa and I are similar in some ways and opposite in others, and I think we inspire each other! HARVEY: I can't wait for you all to get to know each girl’s personality! I like how Jurin has a gap when she's on stage mode, and not. When she is on, she is charismatic Jurin, but when she is off, she is as sweet as a kitten. Bits of this had so much potential, but these fake choruses ruin so many songs. I love the bridge, very, good parts of gen 2. I kinda liked it a bit more than Tippy Toes, mainly because of the vocal parts, I think. Also, Tippy Toes has grown on me a bit. Or it might just be the sleep deprivation talking.
