XG - WOKE UP (Official Music Video) REACTION

I have trouble wrapping my head around what just happened to be honest! It's like I have been confronted with this massive piece of artistry, unlike anything I have seen in a really long time, if ever, and I have too many complicated and sometimes contradictory feelings and emotions in me and ultimately I don't know what to do of them! It's unsettling because it's super creative and novel! The production quality of this is Hollywood blockbuster type of quality and it deserves a standing ovation, truly brilliant! There is so much beauty in here, while unconventional for sure, but since they're embracing this more alien-ish and more animalistic side of them, it looks so confident and powerful! Really freakishly beautiful! So yeah, the MV is possibly one of the greatest MV I have ever seen. It's definitely one that we have to watch and revisit to be able to appreciate all the little details and elements in it! Plus the references! I want to do this song justice by catching all the references but I hardly have enough cultural knowledge to do so nsnsnsn So it's a big piece that will need some time to digest for sure but it's delectable. The song, it's also a lot which is why I find it hard to say whether I love it upon first listening. Especially since the MV is so overwhelming (in a good way).
Overall, the MV is just grand, spectacular, love the message of it too and the song will probably, eventually, grow on me!

I've wondered for so long when a girl group will come out with at least one member who has cut her hair super short, or even shaven it off. Now my wait is over. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it's XG which delivers. The only one I know of is a member in H.U.B, Hyosun, who cut her hair short. Beyond that, a couple of members in Global Icon had shorter haircuts when they debuted. And Dara from 2NE1 shaved one side of her head at some point. But apart from them, for some reason female K-pop idols never cut their hair really short. Even just shorter cuts than a bob are rare. Sunny from SNSD had a longer pixie cut at some point, and Jeongyeon from TWICE had a haircut which exposed her ears. Those are the only ones I come up with right now. I've been wondering why K-pop companies don't push the boundaries when it comes to haircuts and even just once tell a group "Look, it's time to do something no one has seen before. Time for one of you to go bald." I've been waiting for something super short. Thanks, Cocona.

I was beaten. Among the group's artists, XG stands out for being able to express such a strong impact on their music videos. the way I interpret the music. Simon on the first seconds of the Vid. the master mind Invading the tower (half head tower - maybe represents brainless/half minded people) then together with Simon - is our 7 alien boss queens entering the area. They take selfie also at the first seconds of the vid (the whole building was surrounded) -before the explosion on the last part of the vid Jurin - entering breaking the outside walls Harvey - from the sky falling, breaking in to the rooftop Chisa - as our mother driver. I one gajillion percent agree about the "unsettling" feeling, but it's not a bad feeling AT ALL. These ladies have shown such brilliance and diversity so early in their career, right? ...Imagine them when their 5th anniversary comes around.
