Amazing runs from basically everyone, tons of variation, and the commentary booth is so much better with Tony being familiar with all the runs and able to keep the audience informed compared to the last year's announcers just yelling "Oh!" every time someone landed something.

What a vert final! Almost everyone landed a solid run, the judges were on point, the commentary was incredible - I'm gonna be rewatching this a couple of times throughout the week. Vert is back!

moto and agusto are both so underrated!! with dudes like jimmy and damestoy in the mix and now gui coming up i feel like they get overlooked a lot but they have the most insane, individual, unique and technical bags of tricks and they go so big! two real underrated rippers if you ask me

I've been watching most of the vert contests in the last few years with mostly these same skaters and that was the best one everyone was on fire nailing so many tricks. Was great having Tony announcing also because he actually knows all the tricks and NBD's plus he get's so stoked.

So brusco did a kickflip melon 540 to 720 to indy 360 to switch then a switch 540. That's probably one of the hardest technical combos on vert ever seen. He's been robbed of 2 golds to wilkins by doing technical combos vs Linear tricks no combos

Can someone explain what made Jimmy's NBD so amazing? Clearly from the reactions of the commentators it was mind-blowing, but I feel like I don't know skating enough to really appreciate it -- does adding a tailgrab to a trick make it that much harder? What makes it a "MacKenzie?" To be clear, super sweet-looking trick, but my uneducated self isn't seeing what made it so much more special than the stuff everyone else was throwing.

Tailgrab is possibly the hardest grab to do when you’re spinning but more importantly he‘s doing the 720 to fakie, ie he‘s landing backwards. That’s insanely hard, maybe fewer than 5 skaters have ever landed one. I can actually only think of Bucky Lasek and Bob Burnquist and they both did it with an indie grab.

So ueda has to come up with an explanation of why they gave a comp to wilkins who did no tricks in combos only did a nbd 720 variation. Vs bruscos 720 to indy 360 to switch 540 combo. Its like were watching sloan 3 years ago shout how!?!?! When they gave wilkins a higher score for the same run hes been doing for 7 years. Its just not fair to pros like scharr or khury who can do more technical combos vs wilkins who can only do linear 540s and a kickflip melon.
