Been saying it when we signed Emery. He record was sketchy to say the list. In my opinion he was no better than mid table manager. But people said give him time... He only got that unbeaten run in the first couple of weeks of his first season because 1) we were lucky as fuck and scrapped loads of draws 2) the players wanted to perform because a new manager came 3)they still had the attacking footballing mentality that Wenger instilled in them. After Emery really settled in that's when it went bad. Can't believe people still backed him after the Premier run in and europa league final last season 😂

So I thought I'd have a little look at how Emery managed PSG (tactics), doesn't seem to be much difference to the way he's trying to get us playing. So it seems like we have a manager who claims he sets his teams up for matches in such detail, yet we don't actually do anything tactically different when things go wrong (same situation as Wenger, stuck to a system that didn't exactly change much).... If the fans or board ever believe Emery will change this around then good luck to that wish, his tactics since PSG hasn't changed and it doesn't look like he's changing any time soon with us either.

The first 2 he was in the Europa League from the start with no champions league group exit (Europa League didn't have automatic champions league qualification in 2014) . The only time was in 2015/16 which was the last season before he went to PSG

If we're sat here asking ourselves "has Emery improved Arsenal?" then he probably hasn't. I do think it'd be harsh to sack him at the moment, I don't think results have bad enough to warrant it, however certainly questions need to be asked and I certainly think if we're still sat here at the end of the season asking the same questions, then I don't think he should go into a 3rd season. He can have last year off, it's a tough job he came into. But this is no longer his first season, it's a point now where we want to see things improving or at least an idea of where the club is heading, but I don't see that. Klopp had Liverpool looking much better in his 2nd season with them, and he only had 1 Jan transfer window in his first season.

Serious question. Has anyone looked back at the history between Emery and Ozil when they were both competing in La Liga? Did something happen in a game where Ozil did something (maybe scored a hat trick) against one of Emery's clubs: Sevilla and Valencia? I think Ozil was at Real Madrid for 3 seasons while Emery was coaching Sevilla and Valencia. I'm guessing some shit went down back then and Emery's never forgiven Ozil.
